I 100% wanted Meyer. I know ppl say our record wouldnt be better and im ok with that. But the team has looked absolutely terrible at times. Like embarrassing jets football
And that should tell you everything you need to know about Jerry’s views on Coaches. He thinks that if he mimics the scenarios that it’s going to lead to a SB with no consideration as to the variables - chief among them being that Dak Prescott is nowhere close to Aaron Rodgers when it comes to QB play. You might be surprised. Jerry isn't in-love with this HC like he was the previous guy. Jerry went this way because it seemingly mirrored the situation in GB when the won a SB (in Jerry's mind)
He might of said no to Jerrah .
Ole Jerrah is a heck of a salesman, not great at GM .
I honestly think we probably got the best coach for the job we can get if we are being realistic. Just look at our head coaching carousel......Barry Switzer to Chan Gailey to Dave Campo to Parcells to Wade Phillips to Jason Garrett..........why on earth would Urban Meyer even come here?
I was pounding the table for him. That may sound so cliché-ish, especially now with the 3-8 record.
But Urban wasn't just the latest "hot commodity" college football head coach. Wherever he's been, his teams have been (1) fundamentally sound in all 3 phases -- offense, defense, and yes, special teams. (2) His defenses in particular have been stout.
The dude not only knows how to coach; he knows how to coach today's game.
Now we're going to be heading into another off-season when, again, I'm going to be saying the same thing. I highly doubt he would run a true RPO 100% in the NFL, but I can tell you this: his defensive staff, and his coaching staff in general for that matter, would be better than we've got out there right now.
Yeah but last I saw Cowboys aren't the only ones who can give him 10,000,000 reasons why.........you guys take this approach that everyone would love to come here....why the hell would he not stay in college?I'm sure there are at least 10,000,000 reasons why he would come here. Annually.
So you wanted to go in with the expectation of being smashed and embarrassed every week? That may sound so cliché-ish, especially now with the 3-8 record.

Should have fired Garrett right after season and hired Rhule. Jerry dragging his feet on Garrett was yet another huge Jerry screw up.
Would you say the same about Jimmy and Parcells?U. Meyers can't be much of a man if he considered working for a puppet master like Jerry.
I was pounding the table for him.
Maybe he don’t want the hassle. He definitely has plenty of money, so why upset a comfortable life?....why isn't Urban Meyer coaching in the NFL.....if he is who you think he is?
Fair enough.....next Dabo Swinney.Maybe he don’t want the hassle. He definitely has plenty of money, so why upset a comfortable life?
