Yeah I know. I was watching him specifically alot of plays. He is looking very average. We really need him to bust out, along with Spears

He's got some learning to do...his pass rush is mostly speed, outside.

During the off season, he'll add some muscle and maybe some inside moves.

i think we need more variety with him.Send him on a inside blitz or something.

All we do is rush him off the edge.

What happened to him showcasing 5 or 6 different moves in training camp.

Remember the "texas tornado"? :laugh1:

Well, so far, this is an extremely vanilla 3-4. Ware either puts his hand down and rushes ala traditional 4-3 DE or he drops into coverage....there is very little disguising of his intentions.

I'm holding a tirade against the coaches in reserve as they may feel they'd be overloading Ware by teaching him new stuff at this point. Whatever the problem, he's got to get over the hump and start moving around the field. He doesn't stunt-- he tries an occasional inside charge, uses quickness to the outside, and once a game he bull rushes the tackle back into the QB. Only this last move worked last nght as it forced a late incompletion.

I think ya'll are missing the point here...he was getting outside early. When you have to worry about a QB running, you cannot rush solely outside. He was rushing that way to contain Mcnugget.

LOL.....good post.

Not Ware's best game. He will be fine folks!!!!

I agree. Ware did not have a good game, not many of our guys did have a good game.

Ding Ding Ding!! We have a winner. Once it became obvious that McNabb was once again a threat to run the coaches may have changed their pass rush strategy. I know it's what the Bucs do to contain Mike Vick when they play him, they'll have the ends try to keep him in the pocket with a controlled rush hoping the tackles and LBs can bust up the middle and get to him.

I wish Dallas would run some DL stunts like they did back in the early 90s with Haley etc. etc. Those always used to do really well.

he just runs right into the offensive lineman and has no moves.******

i guess i'll NEVER FOR THE LIFE OF ME understand why some fans have to analyze someone play by play and report back as if one or two plays is some sudden sign of the ice age, or at least a busted pick.

the man is on a fasttrack to rookie of the year but you you had issues w/a night. um, ok. have fun. i'm gonna enjoy a win and watch a career w/o the blow by blow disappointments.

Well put, we play much too passive & predictable...
Ware could be a terror, but isn't being used well...At all...

I believe that Ware is the least of our worries of the front seven. The entire line, whether in a 3-4 or 4-3 was totally dominated last night. Ware was mostly going up against a 360 lb. OT, who still needed help several times. The coaches need to stop thinking of Ware as only a weak side 'backer. Move him around like we used to do with Haley. That way, you create mismatches & one-on-one blocking that will enable Ware to use his incredible athletism.
I can't believe the guy who said Ware made no plays last night! What about that fantastic stop of McNabb, when the QB found open field on the left side of the 'D'? Out of nowhere comes Ware, & he outruns McNabb to the sidelines. He held on to the face mask a little too long....hehe, but just watching a 250 lb. Cowboy LB move that fast brought a big smile to my face.
I love Ware, & anyone who keeps knocking his lack of moves knows absolutely nothing about the position, or the NFL for that matter. He's a ROOKIE folks! It takes 2-3 years before a player reaches any kind of peak, or even his potential. The dude is leading the pack for DROTY, & all some want to do is tear him down.

He should watch some game film of that kid Kole (#53). Dude got some serious moves.

Did any of you catch that inside dip-the-shoulder move?

Made TT look damn silly!:
