Not much of a fan of Randle I see lol...you've been ripping him this whole thread lol.

This is my original post. I defended him in the off-season/training camp when people were saying he should be cut. The other comments are just jokes.
I said during the off-season that we didn't really see enough of him to know one way or the other if he could play.

I don't think that you have been proven wrong just yet. I think he is reasonably good, but I just don't know how he would fare with a large amount of carries.

To me it was simple. His off the field, outweighed his on the field, and I think he is very lucky to be on this roster right now. The staff must see something if they were willing to keep him. I'm sure they weighed the alternatives and he was the best option, even after the video and theft.

Pretty easy to run when it looks like the parting of the sea in front of you. That said, the second 20 on the 40 yd run was all Randle.
Much better runner this season. Shows much more quickness. I didn't even think he would make the club.

He looked basic last year and he looked very jaggish in the preseason this year.

Then all of a sudden the guy just changed and started running with some wiggle and showing good vision.

He's better than I thought as well.

My only concern with him is whether he can put his head into a linebacker and drive him forward for another yard or two. He looks like a short WR playing RB to me, but he is very effective in this scheme.

I think he would never work in a dedicated power I style running offense, but as a zone stretch 1-cut runner he's effective.

The other thing is how he will handle money, if he were to be given a new contract. That might be more of a concern then his ability to carry the load.

Yeah, seriously. The guy is a knucklehead.

The underwear thief deserve another chance. Who among us half not entered Dillards and left with underwear and cologne without paying, huh?
dillards expect to be thieved and they mark it up as a loss and get millions from the insurance company, so maybe Randle did Dillalrds a favor half you thought about that?

underwear thiefs, serial drunk drivers, womanizers, as long as they can play and own a team we should hire and keep whoever we want. It is called America.

If Randle was a 3rd round pick I think he should be criticized. As a 5th rounder fans should be happy. He is perfectly adequate running the ball to spell Murray, can catch the ball and play special teams. He also doesn't have the key weakness a lot of backup RBs have in that they can't pick up blitzes. If we get four years of a decent backup RB out of him for a 5th round pick, I call that success.
