I was wrong and I admit it...

i was very upset with Jason Garrett, i thought he was out thinking himself, was upset at some of his play calls, and the lack of martyB... i said i wanted him gone, and for that, i admit, i was wrong, he changed everything we pretty much were upset about, he is more balanced through the games now, running our unstoppable 12 personel more, moving guys all over the field in it, and getting playmakers involved now, like martyB, Austin, felix. and seems to have gotten away from outsmarting ourselves with over thinking.. people are asking where choice is, but barber played well today, and who is choice gunna take snaps from? tony? tony is looking amazing now..

so in all, i was wrong about wanting to get rid of Garrett. Im happy to have him..

There's still 8 weeks left (hopefully 12)..I think his lack of maintaining a solid run game is going to hurt us in the long run. Our redzone offense still worries me. It seems if it's not a huge pass or run play then we'll have a hard time getting into the endzone. We got alot of PI calls there today to bail us out. Don't count on those on the road.

I like the wins, but we have a long ways to go. Let's see what they do against Philly first before we start handing out kudos.

...well interference calls are part of the game and i can imagine Austin drawing a few more before the season is over...Trufant was a little rusty in his first game back from injury but the thing about Garrett is that he feels like Dallas has such an advantage in height and size that a pass is as good percentage-wise as a run...in the red-zone passes have to be more accurate because the defense simply has less space to cover...he does have a tendency to lean on the pass and i feel like it's something he struggles with...next week at Philadelphia the running game will be his best friend...

...when pass protection is good, Garrett will throw more than he runs...that's fact...it puts the onus on receivers to catch and hold on to the ball...there were a few fumbles sunday that were rather unnerving...anytime you throw it you risk more...Romo was 21-36 sunday and 21-29 last week so efficiency was down with overthrows and drops...the offense just takes on more risk with every drop-back...Romo should probably be under 30 attempts per game but if teams won't to take away the run then you must adjust accordingly...

As soon as we face a tough secondary that starts giving Tony Romo trouble with INT's and no open receivers, the Ginger will STILL force the pass and throw us deeper in the hole........any OC can make this potent offense look great......

I'll hop in his bandwagon when we go DEEP into the playoffs

When players execute as they have been we will win games. Garrett has not been costing us, our own mistakes and poor execution has.

I'm not ready to give him a pass yet. KC, Atlanta, and Seattle aren't exactly defensive power houses. Atlanta's secondary was in pretty bad shape when we played them.

I will say this, he does appear to be learning.

Let this season play out before we give Garrett a pass. Three of eight games played thus far isn't a big enough sampling.

With the blitzing that Philly is going to do I believe Garrett is going to lead with the run on sunday. We would be nuts to be pass happy this week, Romo is going to manage the game by tossing for a few hundred yards and a few TD's while Barber and Felix gash the Eagles.

I'm glad the ball got spread around pretty good today, but I still didn't like the game he called. 3rd and two and you run a handoff to Miles Austin? Shotgun at the opposing 3?

There are times when that stuff works, but in December you need to play power football, which this team can be good at. Until there is a real commitment to the run, I'm not going to like Garrett.

The red-zone offense is worrisome. This game we were 3-3, and in 2 of the 3TDs we were aided by a PI call on a 3rd and long situation. Although one PI was on a slant to Miles Austin, which was a pretty good call and it looked like he had good position. Against Atlanta, we were 1-3 with the TD coming on that play where Romo avoided the sack like 3 times, with time running out. Then there were that stint in the 3rd quarter where we tried to go to Miles Austin twice on the deep pass. The person that deserves a lot of credit but is being ignored is Hudson Houck, who many blasted last year as the reason Romo was throwing the INTs.

Im not sure I would say he is balanced now in his play calling. He was 65 - 35 in his pass - run ratio this last game.

The bottom line is we are scoring points, but I do believe we need better balance.

Garrett has been questionable at times, such as calling for the fade more than once at the goal line against the Giants, but overall he hasn't been. Your explanation mostly hits the nail on the head for why the team currently sits at 5-2 instead of 6-1 or even possibly 7-0.

Take a big man to admit he was wrong. I don't mean physically big like Wade, but big as in secure enough to admit to a mistake.

One thing I have seen since playing and watching football is the playcalling is always in question when the team loses. Only thing that has held this team back at all has been their own mistakes, we move the ball we put points on the board but we make mistakes which helps the other team and keeps them in the game. We start executing and cutting down on mistakes I think the sky is the limit for this team.

When an offense takes 60-70 snaps in a game, there are always 4-5 calls that people won't like. When Dallas loses, Garretts haters hang onto those 4-5 plays for dear life to make their case. When Dallas wins, not so much. Like yesterday when Romo fumbled. Less than 7 minutes left, up by 4 TD's inside your 20 yard line. Why pass the ball in that sutuation?

Doomsday is right, execution by the players make coaches really good or really bad.

Win or lose, no coordinator calls 70 perfect plays every game. There will always be a call that make fans scratch their heads. So focus on the bottom line: this offense is averaging almost 30 points a game and second only to NO.

Except for a playcall here and there, Garrett is doing a very good job. And the points the team is scoring speaks for itself. He should get credit for that.
