I was one of the biggest criticizers of Jason Garret.

I WAS WRONG!!!

After what I saw yesterday I will be his biggest supporter for the HC job next year.

Yea, he made some questionable calls that drove me out of my seat ,and there was still some bone head plays by some of the players ,but I think with a little more experience he'll be fine, all in all I think he has brought back some enthusiasm and accountability to this team.

Being 17 points down and coming back as they did and seeing the fire on the sidelines ,He has earned the right to be the man for next year.

There is still alot of work to do ,but I think he's the man for the job.

I was convinced of him being Next HC, even before first game was played, pretty much like probably Hostile. But I always was willing to be wrong on that.

I think pretty much, if anyone who is not convinced this is the guy for the job, then they are idiots and can't see the clear progress Garrett has made in three short weeks, I don't think he will ever will.

Now, I can agree there is one more little test, to see how this team plays game against Colts next week. I don't expect a win at all there, since Colts will be playing for their playoff life and their D is exceptional at home.But if they keep it close, it will show that Team indeed is taking onto Garrett's persona of one day at a time and game at a time, forgetting the past.

ive been one of the few who wanted Garrett for years now, and am so glad it appears to be heading in right direction....lets hope he keeps it up and JJ stays out of the way

Kaika you are a man for coming out and admitting this. Many on this board who were "Anti-Garrett" have not done this, and keep making themselves look worse and worse.

It's fine to be wrong if you can admit it.

However when people keep trying to fit and frame their agenda when everything points to the contrary, they look like even more of a darn fool...(than being in the Anti-Garrett crowd in the first place lol) Sorry, I had to throw that in there.

I was wrong about Garrett too. After reading a post by Hos a few weeks ago, it really made me think about the dynamics in place and I found myself wanting to see what Garrett could do if given an interim tag. Thank goodness the change was finally made. I'm a Garrett supporter from here on out... period.

I'm sure many of you will remember this photoshop I made at the height of my disgust with Wade (and Garrett) a couple of years ago.

Garrett is showing that it was really Wade all along. Being out from under Wade has really given life to Garrett and everyone else that coaches or plays for this team.

Sorry, but are you trying to compare Jason Garrett to Jim Zorn?

I understand you don't care for Jason Garrett much, but seriously, if thats what you are trying to do, its rediculous beyond comparison. Jason has been pretty successful OC for almost 3 years now. How successfull is debateable perhaps. But when you have been consistently top offense, results speak for themselves.

Jim Zorn was a QB coach, selected to be HC by clueless owner/Gm period.

Second, Jason didn't start on clean slate unlike Zorn did. He came or became a HC under very difficult circumstances to impossible odds. He seemingly turned the team's mentatility in 3 weeks. If thats is not impressive, then I don't know what else would be. Especially with your franchise QB out and not playing exactly chumps all three weeks.

Heck if not for one Bone headed play/great play by opposing D player, this game was won.

Zorn turned from excellent start to pretty much pathetic team by end. Now I guess we shall see before end of season what this team will do. Zorn even by wildest stretch of imagination wasn't a HC candidate.

Garrett was and will be, since he was already offered that job at least twice. If Cowboys/Jerry wont, he will be coaching elsewhere as HC. I can guarantee that, and 100% sure he will be successful one at that.

Thats just fine, not every needs to think that Garrett is sure thing. Having healthy skeptism is fine. But trying to compare to a coach who was absymal, just because he won bunch of games is nonsense. I am pretty sure you weren't happy with Wade just because he eventually went out with high winning percentage?

Could I be wrong on Garrett? Sure I can be. But I am pretty sure about Garrett. You just don't impressive pretty much everyone you talk to in your life, without having some real special quality in you. Thats what Garrett has done. And he so far has done nothing to dispell the notion that he will be a really good/great HC.

Now even a great HC needs talent to win SBs. Like Jimmy proved when he was with Miami. Or Bil Belichek proved when he was with Browns first time around or till he found Tom Brady.

Again, its not about wins and losses. Sometimes its about how the team plays and how a team responds to adversity tells a lot about players and the coaches. When a Wade guy like Brooking within a week, is spouting Garrett Speak, that tells me how much of a leader of men Garrett is.

If Jerry Jones gets the hell out of the way, Garrett will be fine.

If Jones starts to water down Garrett's authority or make Garrett's message to the team murky, get ready for more of the same that we've been seeing for over a decade.
