It's pretty harmless and I'm pleased it's a tradition that continues to this day and which has lasted more than 1,000 years. They are occasions that family and friends get together together and some of my earliest memories are the celebrations from a important date or jubilee. The whole thing is steeped in history, tradition and convention.
