I'm happy for you if just having a chance is good enough. It's not for me!
Let me guess...you're one of those fans that thinks QB's win games?

The playoffs aren't in December. And yes, stats actually mean a lot. Without production a team can't win. Unfortunately, the majority of the production on this team comes from just a few players.

Thanks for the info. Guess what are in Dec? Win and you're in games which Romo has sucked in so far.

Romo certainly has proven they can single handedly lose them.

What baffles me is why we even pay other players. Think how much money we'd free up if we only had a qb and a backup!

Yeah...except that every one of those games the last half of the season, at the time, was a win or go home game. He was also the hottest QB in the game during that stretch. Keep cherry picking single games though.

Stats are for losers, the results speak for themselves, 1 playoff win, choke jobs against NY, Washington, Seattle etc. The guy comes up short when it matters most.

I'm not cherry picking anything. What good is a QB that can't go all the way? What good is he if he always has that bad game that ends your season. At that point who cares if he just set every record in the book, his team is still going home instead of moving on. Why do you point to stats and ignore poor performances that end the season?

If we get a quality free agent OL, and simply draft the best players available, I'm satisfied with this offseason.

Wish Romo was cheaper, but he's a top 5-10 QB in the league and those aren't cheap.

He helped put them in that hole. He was bad the first half of the season.

Right but that's not what we're discussing...

We just signed 2 solid FAs, we extended Romo freeing up enough money to add a FA OL and still roll over some unused cap to next year.

These moves all set us up on draft day to continue what we have done recently...add elite talent with the ability to move up if need be.

And I am still seeing all these posts complaining. Geesh, if being a fan is making you this miserable find a new team or please just stop posting.

STOP KILLING OUR BUZZ!

I have to ask.....How old are you?

Reason I ask is....have you suffered long enough like the rest of us have?

Because most of us here are probably 40+ and have sat through almost 20 years of Jerry ineptitude...and we are sick of it. And this is the cherry on top of the crap pile Jerry has sold Cowboy Nation.

I see through Jerry's shinanagans....

Do you?

He only wants to cherry pick Romo's good games and ignore his poor ones. They accuses others of doing the same thing the other way.

It is when you ignore the poor week 17 performance that led to the season being over and no playoffs. Last time I checked week 17 was part of the second half of the season.

I think it's worse for the younger fans than the older fans. The older fans have at least experienced the greatness of the 90s while the younger fans have seen no success. Just my opinion considering I'm 26 and part of that younger fanbase. I can understand the frustration of the older fans having to sit through this after all of the past greatness, but at least most of you can look back at it and remember how great it was to live through that ... younger fans can't do that because they never witnessed anything.

:D I competely agree. I don't know if Romo is going to win several super bowls but at the very least this will allow the Cowboys to compete(and have a good chance at winning)

Exactly how I feel.

I wish the contact was cheaper... But I'd rather be in the position where you have to commit a lot of money to the QB position than in the position where you don't because your QB position is unsettled.
