I wonder what Terry Glenn thinks

Glenn will be fine and i actually expect him to do better as Romo does a better job of spreading the ball so the D will actually have to pay attention to Witten now and that will open it up even more for Glenn. T.O should do better as well

Hopefully Glenn gets back to being the big play guy he was last season.

You could see what the team felt based on the energy they had when he came in. Even after the picks, they never lost faith in Romo.

i noticed the opposite kinda, no urgency, i remember everyone truged to the line with 30 seconds left in the 3rd quarter and they didnt even get the play off

There wasn't much to crow about the other night, but seeing Jason out for a pass or two, instead of stuck in pass protect was flat out thrilling.

My major gripe about DB is that, even taking into consideration the often atrocious line play, he too drastically limited the use of the weapons on the team.

It's just unacceptable that a team with Jones, Glenn, Owens, Witten, Crayton, MBIII isn't functioning as a fearsomely potent offense.

As bad as having Portis, Moss, Randle El, Lloyd, and Cooley and stinking it up.:D

Either your dummin', or you are just quoting Theisman.

Watch the game again if you dont believe it. The team had fire. Under Bleadsoe, the offense is dead. With Romo, they have a spark.

Did anyone happen to catch Theismann's spirited defense of Bledsoe on Mike and Mike this morning?

A totally 'old qb' synchronicity. Complete with background violins. It was actually poignant.

I heard it. I have yet to hear a person on ESPN endorse this, yet more Cowboys fans than not think it's greatness. Theisman had the nerve to say that Bledsoe has had only 2 bad throws - the endzone INT in this game and the Eagles games.

I was tempted to call in, but a caller with a differing opinion is never given equal opportunity to prove his point.

I had to go to work..or I would have called in too. :bang2:

But there was ONE point Norman Einstein made that I appreciated..and that was the comparison of Bledsoe and Warner on being benched. Warner was indeed, his usual, gracious, and helpful self, but as Theismann pointed out Kurt is an "exceptional" human being. Expecting anyone to live up to his degree of selflessness is an improbable expectation. In fact, Warner, imo, is the modern day athlete who more than anyone exemplifies, in actions, his adherance to his faith.

I don't think Kurt was benched at halftime either, was he? But told during the week the kid was starting?

I forget. If so, he didn't have to face a primetime tv audience for a humiliating half of football, flush off his halftime disgrace.

Warner's been benched as much as Bledsoe by now.

He's probably wondering how many of his throws are going to go to Witten. If you remember two preseasons ago, Romo marched the team down the field by throwing about 6 straight passes to Witten. You saw Monday, that he hit Witten with around 2-3 passes that moved the chains. Before Romo came in, Witten was a no show. DB virtually ignored Witten for stretches & games at a time, so much so that most people were asking if Witten was injured or wasn't in the game mentally due to his new baby. We saw Monday, that Witten is still among the living, and mark my words, he's going to have a probowl type of season. He will be Romo's security blanket. So, whenever you see Romo scrambling he's surely going to be looking for Witten first. Romo and Witten will have the kind of chemistry that Brees & Gates had in SD. With TO & TG drawing most of the attention, Witten is going to own the middle of the field. Mark my words!

Terry signed his contract and got PAID.
I think all he cares about now is WINNING and Drew wasn't helping us do that.
I would imagine its much more fun and inspiring to run your routes knowing that with Romo back there you can keep running and finish them and still may get the ball...with DB back there, you run half your route and DB either never looked your way or was already sacked by the time you turn around.

Ed Werder  was just on not two minutes ago talking about how hard Romo has worked in practices to "get TO on his side". He claimed players told him this.

I take what this guy says with a grain of salt..but this one rings true...Romo is smart enough to know as a young qb, he must convince Owens that he 1) trusts him, 2) can get the ball to him, and 3) actually DOES get the ball to him. This MAY keep Owens from bring disruptive.

My feeling is what a pity any kid qb should have to keep this on his mind. He should be able to pass with as little pressure on him to 'share' as the game allows. If Witten is open, feed him. Glenn, Owens, Crayton, feed them. The game plan and the way the play develops should dictate the qb's decisions, NOT the mental instability, potential hissy fit, or any other extraneous selfishness of a receiver.

I just thank the good Lord Jason and Terry are here..they won't add to the kid's already considerable learning curve by forcing him to be concerned with who's happy, who ain't.

They'll just shut up and play.

And run precise routes.

Those two will be Romo's best friends, regardless of how many balls they catch.

I sure can't predict that of TO tho. But if Owens' ego and exhibitionism starts to bring this kid down, or lays one bit of grief on him, I hope Bill nips it hard and fast.
