I would like Dak to prove why he got $60 million dollars!

Don’t get me started on that one. The “2nd place MVP argument “ is one of two arguments that have made me a staunch Dak critic. The other argument is Dak is better than Aikman. The 2nd place MVP thing is weak because he got 1 whole vote, so yes technically he was the runner up but realistically the race wasn’t close. Comparing Dak to Aikman and saying Dak is on par or better than Aikman is blasphemous.

Those 2 arguments really put the nail in the coffin for me as to how I feel about Dak in the field. I feel the media, Mike Fisher, some fans want to sell Dak as a generational player and the more blame shifting away from Dak and the unrealistic propping him up caused other fans (like me) to go the opposite direction. It’s almost like a repellent for his play on the field.
I'll add another....he's a top 10 QB, as if that makes him anything but an overpaid also ran who's composure weaknesses mean he's always coming up short.

His best year was his rookie year where he was surrounded by an elite line, TE, wr, and a great RB. His best friend will be those things again.
So he is going to take a dip into the fountain of youth? I mean you can surround him with talent, but if he is old and slow, it won't be as impactful as it was in his rookie year.

I agree. But we can change the age aspect. But we can try a formula that is successful, which is what I stated. That's all we can do, surround him with good players and see what happens. He's not going any for at least 2 years.

At he end of the day, we should realize the contract was a mistake, and not make plans on who we can surround Dak with but on building the team despite the mistake of the contract. Sometimes you just have to realize you made a mistake and plan accordingly.

Everyone is watching Dak's pockets because he is the highest and most overpaid player in the league.
Who is the a$$wipe that offered him his current contract? Prescott is blameless for the Cowboys’ difficulties. Only the most clueless Cowboys fan sees Dak as the issue. Jerry Jones, and only Jerry Jones, is responsible for the Cowboys’ struggles.

Jerry deserves most of the blame. But to give Prescott a free pass and call him blameless, when he hasn't lived up to the contract that he demanded is purely absurd. He'd get less blame if the contract was more reasonable.

Philly just won a SB with the most talented team. Now, give Dak the best OL, best RB, and two All Pro WRs and let's see what happens.
Dak has had pretty good to very good o-lines, good receivers, running backs and they couldn’t get to an NFC championship game let alone Super Bowl. I’m not saying he had the level of Philly but not far off by any means.

I'm dying for them to do this, I mean why not??? This draft may not be QB heavy, but there's maybe a guy in there that could come in here and play well like Dak and romo did to get their star status with this team, we proceed to go with this young pup and Dak gets faded out!
Howard / Ohio State

When he's playing at a high level we're winning games, we may have issues with him, but he's what we have going forward. We have to get in our minds that he's going to be here for a few years at best. So let's see if this new staff can get whatever is left out of him to show us he was worthy of such an enormous contract!! Show up or shut up!! Please give your thoughts

Yeah, that's NOT going to happen anytime soon. For some reason, Prescott's trash yards are looked upon as greatness by so-called NFL experts..............LOL!

The "he's a true leader" schtick over and over was my final nail.

Sucking up cap, bonehead plays, watching players and coaches getting shipped out. ..
But hey....new nikes and e bikes.

Dak never did anything to be worth $60M and he never will.

Are you agreeing with me or disagreeing? The TLDR version of my point is in big games Dak gets mentally frozen. For a Dak critic like myself to change my view of him he would have to overcome the mental issues he has in the playoffs. He has to own the moment and not let the moment own him. You can see it in his eyes when he starts shutting down mentally. My view of Dak as a player would change if he overcame his mental block of the playoffs and playing against playoff teams.

But another point I want to make is the Cowboys have a destructive cycle going here. We have a QB that is a poor playoff performer. We have a front office that can’t build a roster to win playoff games. 45% of the fan base only blame Dak and his mental issues, 45% of the fans only blame the FO, 10% of the fans are in homer heaven and everything is great. My point is that Dak is not a playoff winning caliber QB. Independent of that the FO has proven to be incapable of building a playoff winning team. 2 independent problems are contributing to a destructive cycle.
Good post mister.

He can’t beat good teams in playoffs . RIP Cowboys while he’s QB.
