We heard Schot say they maybe looking to add more picks and are unlikely to trade away pick 93. He mentioned that we have several former college coaches now on staff and they are firmiliar with the college.

When we are seeing some of the 30 visits trickling in and players they are showing interest with, it suggests that are doing a wide net, some players that are expected to go in rd 2, where they currently don’t have a pick in

There are some guys they really seem to like in no mans land like Muhammad and Perkins. Perkins might have been a possibility at 92 before his pro day. Might be a 2nd round guy now

They could have an opportunity to get more picks inside that top 100. I don’t think CP is building a defense around stars, but more so the sum of all parts. Adding more picks allows them to address everything

Best case scenario IMO...

With so many needs we need more darts in the top 100 to try and make more hits.

Don’t you agree it appears they are building more sum of the parts then around stars? We know Jerry has always been star driven, but CP might be building a defense that isn’t so reliant on just 2-3 stars. We just saw a Seattle team be successful with many good starters, not many elite stars within their defense.

I think that, for that approach to work, you need very few weak links or JAG's. There isn't likely to be a 'can't miss' at 12, maybe someone gets obsessed with that 'Bama QB. So, I'd trade back, probably no further than 15, in a heartbeat.

I think 12 is the more likely trade back. 20 is the sweet spot.

It certainly depends upon who is available. It adding an extra 2 could mean another starter

I suspect Styles, Downs, Bain, Bailey, will all be gone by 12, brilliant winning those meaningless games eh? I think there’s a drop off in talent after that first tier and 11/12 is where all of those will be gone unless there are some surprises in the top 10.

One area where he probably wants a star is CB. That could be Revel though. Very high ceiling.

Delane is probably out of the picture, and alot of people think they are out on McCoy. 20 seems like it could be a CB spot. A big grouping in that range too. 20 could be a tough spot for a trade down. 12 seems much more fertile.

It certainly would depend upon who is an available, but if it turned out to be one of those offensive players falling, it could present an opportunity.

I do think Revel has that potential to be that Mitchell type of corner but he is just the start of his developmental stage. They added a starting caliber corner from the Rams to give him some time. Not a bad idea adding another high valued corner, especially one who can play inside or out

I wouldn't rule out a big jump this year from Revel. I dont think he is that green. I just think he was playing at about 75% last year. Factor in the jump in competition from East Carolina. Being fully healthy and with a year to adjust, I think he should be a quality starter this year. Gets dire long term after that though. Durant is a decent player, but he is only on a one year deal. Bland has struggled ever since leaving Quinns system. Good chance they move on. After that the cupboard is mostly empty. There is some hope with Carson because he is talented and his 2025 was better than his 2024. But he still isn't particularly good and is too injury prone

Im starting to favor Terrell. Size isnt great, but he can both CB spots at a high level. Bland has never been a particularly good slot CB. Durant played there extensively his 2nd season, but that was his worst statistical year. He is probably a better option than Bland though

Don’t need 1 superstar, just need good players thru out the D and the way I would prefer the D to be built.

I like him too, but he doesn’t fit CP’s nickel role. Might be too small for outside corner
