I wouldn't rule out trading back

I like him too, but he doesn’t fit CP’s nickel role. Might be too small for outside corner
I don't think his nickel in monolithic. I dont think there is a real type. Dejean was a bigger CB, but his slot in Denver was Jaquan Mcmillian who is smaller than Terrell

I think 12 is the more likely trade back. 20 is the sweet spot.
I think the opposite. At 12 you can still get a player with a first round grade. Listening to draft experts there are about 14. at 20 you can trade back and get 2nd round talent.

Feels like 20 is closer to 40 than it is to 12

The draft is said to be around 10-12 deep for true first round grades. At 20 you might be getting a guy who isn’t much different than 40

When you hear CP at his press conference described as he position as a corner, safety, linebacker, pass rusher. He basically describes a Darren Woodson type player not a traditional nickel like Lewis was here for years

Don't reach for players. Don't lie to yourself about a prospect. If there is more value at a later pick, go that route and gain more capitol.

It depends which 1st rd graded players are left to determine if quantity is better then quality. If a WR is our last 1st rd graded player or perhaps an offensive lineman, I would listen to offers.

We heard Schot say they maybe looking to add more picks and are unlikely to trade away pick 93. He mentioned that we have several former college coaches now on staff and they are firmiliar with the college.

When we are seeing some of the 30 visits trickling in and players they are showing interest with, it suggests that are doing a wide net, some players that are expected to go in rd 2, where they currently don’t have a pick in
92

All depends on the board. But I am a big advocate for trading back at least one of our 1st rounders. We simply need more picks.

If the inactive impact FA didn't prove it, I don't know what else you need to see.

I really don't want to trade out of 12,that maybe the last 1st rd grade player .
Unless Dallas wants to draft offense in the first round, there are only 7 defenders worth the 12th pick. If they're gone, Dallas either trades back, or picks offense. I think they'll trade back.

They could have an opportunity to get more picks inside that top 100. I don’t think CP is building a defense around stars, but more so the sum of all parts. Adding more picks allows them to address everything
I think CP might rank players in the draft much differently than fans/media have them ranked

I don't think CP would have allowed Kenneth Murray on the field...

Notice that Murray, Diggs, Wilson are all unsigned still.

But are they familiar with Jerry Jones

12 is a shot at a real first rd player
and at the same time the best chance of a trade back

this draft after probably 15 or so is going to be about the same to around 60. Getting a couple of picks in that area would be good.

Sure would've been nice to lose a couple more games and pick like 5th or 6th.
but that is the realty of the Dallas Cowboys under current management
ONCE IT WAS CLEAR that this season was toast due to the horrible Defense, we should have played ALL of our younger ones as much as possible in order to really find out what they could do. Try everything; every kind of defense we could. Should have fired Everflop halfway into the season; got an interim guy and told him to do whatever was possible; try all combinations, etc.
Play all the backups; Milton; Blue; see what they had.
THEN we could have proceeded into the offseason knowing exactly what we had and what we needed. Q was still a very good move in my mind but anything else should have waited until we had a new DC which should have been priority one. THEN do the moves needed.
