He painted himself into a bad corner last year with his hold out and apparently teams are weary of taking him with a long term contract given he could just throw another pity party at some point over his contract.

But if he kind of sits there and you could get him on a one year deal, I'd consider it. With Eberflus, you put him opposite Parsons and you have a legitimate pass rush with Osa inside and whatever other DT you hopefully add.

Yeah. It didn’t help his cause that the defense and the player the Eagles replaced him with was better than when he was on the team.

DE is a depth position at this point. We have Kneeland, Parsons, and Williams under contract.

Golston feels like a better fit. At least if our intent is stopping those end runs.

The DE FA pool is pretty dry.

Has even played football in 2 seasons? He’s held out for what seems two years

The Cowboys plan on opening up their wallets and offer 2 years of free papa johns pizza (1 topping only) and more glory holes.

Kneeland and Williams are coming off injuries.

And are supposed to be ready for the season.

I didn't say it was ideal but when compared to positions like WR, RB, OT, DT, LB, and slot CB where we are lacking starters injured or not it is down on the needs list.

I guess my point is that after Parsons it’s a complete unknown at DE. Even before getting hurt Williams was so inconsistent. And we don’t really know what we have in Kneeland.

DE is a big need IMO.
