So if the Cowboys finally get over the Brady curse and beats Tampa on MNF, some Cowboys fans won't even really be able to enjoy if since the need immediate worry would be the team on a short week going into Philly who will be on a bye.

It did not really dawn on me until I saw a NFC playoff bracket but the Cowboys are 4 games up on Tampa in the standings. There is no way the Bucs deserve a home game against the Cowboys. I bet next season they change that rule. Of course it will only change if the Cowboys lose.

I hate MNF as it is and it shouldn't exist for playoff games but the Rams/Cardinals was on Monday last year so it didn't hurt them as much. Still, I hope this information is wrong.

I think the OP asked this question because it was the 4th and 5th seed that played on Monday night last year. If that becomes a pattern, they'd probably switch to AFC this year.

If they didn't choke away the Packers or Jags games they'd be a win away from locking up the division. Take care of business against inferior teams, and you won't be in this position. Every couple of years a bad team in a bad division gets a home game, and whiners whine about. It happened to Brady 2 years ago when they had to travel to 7-9 Washington. The Bucs ended up winning the Super Bowl. If the Cowboys are for real, they'll go in to Tampa and win.

A Monday not playoff game isn’t to bad. You get to watch 5 playoff games over the weekend and then Monday night you get to watch the Cowboys vs Tampa Tom.
