If all these DT's are on the board at 42, which one?

For this scenario assume we addressed corner in rd 1, Moehrig/Grant are already off the board, but all the DT's outside of Barmore are still available, which one would you take:

Onwuzurike Washington
Nixon Iowa
Tufele USC
McNeil NC State

I would probably lean towards Tufele as he offers the best positional flex. Can play the 3, the 1 and even the 4T. The top two are strictly 3T, where McNeil might be rated too high as more of a run, two down player.

Probably Daviyon Nixon. I've heard Tufele is not good vs the run.

Nixon and it’s not really close. I’m much more worried about acquiring talent than I am position fit at the moment.

McNeil. I have him and Nixon rated similarly. His ceiling is very high to me.

I want to say McNeil, but Nixons pass rush ability and potential is very hard to pass up. Especially since he is still a very solid run defender. I need to think on this.

Onwuzurike for me. McNeil is my favorite of the bunch, but Onwuzurike is a man at 3T. Also, they can grab a NT later.

I want the middle of the defense fixed over a CB, DE or anything else.

I am gonna say McNeil because I think he could play well as either 3T or 1T.

I'm usually a talent guy and I'm a Trojan fan, but I'd take McNeill over Tufele. McNeill is what we need and is sneaky athletic for as big as he is.

I do not get the fascination with Levi Onwuzurike.

depends on how Dallas considers Gallimore.
If they see him as a 3T -- then I would take McNeil
If they think he can play the 1T, then Nixon would be my choice in the 2nd and still try to get McNeil later.

I like Tufele, but he is more 3T than 1T, IMO, and Nixon is the better 3T prospect.
Dallas needs a legit 1T, and I think McNeil is that guy who can anchor and shed, as well as push the pocket. Bringing in Bobby Brown later who is more of a one gap, quick penetrating, AWoods type player.

I think Nixon is probably the better talent, but McNeil probably the bigger need for Dallas defense.

I like Nixon the most. But I'd be fine with any of the 4 at 44.

I believe Nixon has he highest ceiling and in an attacking 1 gap defense which I'd play he'd be great.

Can def see the appeal of McNeill but is he really a better Nose Tackle than AWoods?
NCAA strength is very different from NFL strength.

Dane Brugler ranks them:

39. Daviyon Nixon
43. Levi Onwuzurike

69. Jay Tufele
97. Alim McNeill

Matt Miller's DT board:

DL1—Daviyon Nixon, Iowa | Overall: #20
DL2—Christian Barmore, Alabama | Overall: #25
DL3—Levi Onwuzurike, Washington | Overall: #42
DL4—Marlon Tuipulotu, USC | Overall: #59
DL5—Tommy Togiai, Ohio State | Overall: #75
DL6—Jay Tufele, USC | Overall: #93
DL7—Alim McNeill, NC State | Overall: #106
DL8—Darius Stills, West Virginia | Overall: #116
DL9—Tyler Shelvin, LSU | Overall: #119
DL10—Marvin Wilson, Florida State | Overall: #126

Hey folks, we can have two DT's. One in 2nd round, and one in with the comp pick 3rd round. First 3rd pound pick will be a pure free safety. In the 4th round, I go OT and CB. If our targeted high rated safety is available with our 2nd round position and is rated higher than Nixon, take him and double up on DT's in the 3rd round.

I like Nixon as a wrecker of offensive line play. He seems to me to have more potential to be an NFL star than the others due to his explosiveness. I am sure he can also play RDE.

I like the idea of Zach Martin automatically being the 3rd tackle if Collins or Tyron go down again. He can play either LT or RT better than anyone else they could draft or have and Connor McGovern is a better talent at guard than the two young undrafted OT's who played so much last year.

I look for our "Badass" center improving dramatically and more effectively mimicking his Wisconsin and Dallas predecessor. I want him to knock down two players, a road grader.

I look for Zeke to come in lighter, more flexible, and more burst. He could have had a residue of Covid 19 weakening him last season.

Lastly, I yearn to see Blake jar the hell out of defenses who double team the receivers going deep. Schultz is fine for short plays, but Blake is a former WR who has explosion after the catch. Get him the ball running in full stride in the secondary and he can cause huge damage.

But we must have a superior OL, opening holes, providing pass protection. 3rd and 1 should be an easy task.

Do believe McNeil is the best fit what we truly need at the 0-1 T position. Just not sure if the team will value a NT this high without high level rush abilities. McNeil offers some, but probably will be more of a two down player, especially early on. We need more picks within the top 50-60, but not trading away from Farley in rd 1 if available.

Wouldn't we all love this if it would happen:

All 3 NT's would be there for our 3rd rd comp pick. Tufele in the 3rd rd would be a great value pick.
