If Justin Blackmon slips down to us at 14, which some experts are now saying he will, should cowboys consider it? And then trade either Miles or Dez?

I wouldn't draft megatron if he were in this draft and slipped to us.

Receiver is the last position im taking.

Plus with Blackmon your drafting a 5'10-5'11 guy with not a lot of speed.

I'm comfortable with our skill position players right now give me OL help and defensive help.

We got the shiny car we need the motor to make it run.

Agreed don't get the hype about Blackmon. He's small and undersized and he doesn't have great or even good speed. Dez will have the much better career IMO.

I would definitely listen to trades for the pick if someone just had to have them a smaller, slower WR than anyone on our current roster.

Who do you think we are, Detroit?
More like who do you think he is?

Yeah if he can use his physical ability on NFL DB's like he does college DB's than he'll be the next Boldin / TO. (just a smaller version)

But if he can't than he is going to be another guy because he doesn't really have a lot of physical ability.

I could see him having a Peter Warrick type of football career.

everyone wants to trade yesterdays shiney potential for tomorrows shiney potential.

what a concept it would be to give that potential time and quit taking the latest shiney thing and develop what you have.

Would never draft a receiver in the first round unless it was megetron type of receiver and blackmon isn't that..

I trade the pick. Dez is a far better talent, just needs a full off season to put it together.

I guess I'm going to be the minority here and say I don't count anything out. If Justin is available at 14 it means some things happened in front of us. Likely DeCastro gone, likely teams that needed or wanted to trade up did, likely one our top choices as OLB are gone, top 2 CB's are likely gone.............you have to consider the scenario's.

It would not be the worst thing Dallas could do............

:laugh2: if they draft a receiver in the first three rounds, I would be terrified.

Shouldn't even consider it we are fine at the wide reciever position.

Boy, that would be tough. Despite the problems on defense I'd probably have to draft this guy. He will be a playmaker and difference maker.

I wouldn't, but I don't think Blackmon is small for the position at all.

You wouldn't draft agruably the most dominant offensive player at 14? I get what you're saying but thats a bad example.

But Yeah I would tempt a team like the Titans or Rams into trading their 2nd this year and 1st next year to get Blackmon. Kid is a beast. I think he's gonna be great pro.

Blackmon isn't a small WR. Blackmon is about Hakeem Nicks' size. Not quite as big as Dez, but not a small WR by any means

6'1 205-210ish.

I don't think Blackmon is good enough to take at 14 for a team that has many other needs, but I don't hate the idea of trading Miles Austin.

And yes, I'm ducking right now.

How can you be sure of that? Dude could be a bust you just don't know. It wouldn't be tough at all. Some people just can understand that we don't need another wide receiver. We need help on the OL and on defense not at the WR position.
