If Blue is legit

The makings of a high level offense are there. Now obviously there are a lot of unknowns - what kind of coach Shotty is, can Pickens not implode, etc.

Assuming most of the questions are answered positively you have a potentially good to great OL (although I still have issues with Steele), you have a quality WR corps now, a quality starting TE and if Blue is as good as some claim, you make potential at RB.

That then leaves the QB. Fingers crossed.
The main area of concern for me isn't the QB. I think he's proven he can play at a fairly high level if he has a good enough team around him. (The big question is how he will play coming off his second serious injury.)

My main area of concerns on offense are the OTs and the RBs. It's my opinion that we've taken a similar path at RB that we did last season. We brought in a couple of vets coming off bad years and are relying on late-rounders/UDFAs if the vets fail.

At OT, Guyton struggled at LT, so we're hoping he improves, and Steele started off struggling at RT but got better the further removed he was from his ACL tear. Now, I think we have options if Guyton doesn't settle in, but I'm not sure how good those options will turn out.

I know the go-to is to blame Dak for our failures, but I think enough teams have shown they can succeed with less than Dak at QB (Philly won with Nick Foles, etc.) that the problem goes much deeper than what we have at QB.

Can't wait until TC and the 1st PS game. Now we will get, well, it is PS, scrubs, etc.
But is he doing what he is supposed to be doing. Are the surrounding players doing what they are supposed to be doing.

Say, are the back up OL actually blocking. There will be some interesting debates going on as usual.
Did you write all of this down and remember it from the previous years of rants from the fans, I could see that!

It's not what I look at in terms of skill it's what the coaches see. Again, Rico didn't come on board until late in the season.
It has nothing to do with what I think, lol
But that's what we're doing here. You've already said what you think, and now you're saying that doesn't matter? Confusing, but then again I'm old and easily confused!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If Blue is out-producing every RB on the roster he should get the majority of the snaps. He should also be given the opportunity to be that kind of player.

I also don't see him being a Kyren Williams type of RB in terms of carries, but he can be there with someone like Gibbs/Achane.
Not really. Guys his size tend to get injured w/ too many carries. But, it doesn't matter what we think!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Blue is a speed RB who needs space and open field. Shotty has preached a power run game, so Blue doesn't fit that mold. Blue will be a good 3rd down RB but don't run him in between the tackles. Cowboys invested in the iOL heavily, so look for inside run plays, which, means there will be a more powerful RB to handle the main RB spot.

You guys are putting a lot on the back of a late 5th round rb....the likelihood is that it is going to be one of the vets we signed getting the bulk of the carries and blue will be a change of pace every once and a while
I’m hoping that Miles and dude from Denver, can’t think of his name right now, will start the season and Blue comes in for relief and then as the season goes Blue gets more comfortable and explosive for the late season run. Or he starts as a game 1 starter and dominates, lol, I’m good with that too. I’m pretty flexible and open to any ways we can win.

Me too. Prior to the draft I was looking forward to just watching Milton and seeing if he can be someone to get excavator as a possible heir apparent to the QB throne when Dak is done. Now I’m really pumped about the rookies. Blue, Booker, Eze, Revel (hoping he plays in the PS). Then the other highly drafted guys we traded for. I’m excited to see what they can do. It’s going to be fun. I’m looking forward to it and getting a little excited about the season. I didn’t feel this way a year ago so it’s cool to be excited again. Way better offseason this year.

Yeah I am also flexible and will be happy however they find success.

Cowboys win super bowls when the have all star RBs. Starting with Duane Thomas and Calvin Hill in the early 70's. Tony D. in the late 70s's and then of course Mr. Smith in the 90's.

Yes we have had all star RB's in other years and have not taken home the prize, but the years we have won it we have always great RB's.

Also we had great defenses in those super bowl years, so yeah we're screwed.

Dak’s good at eluding outside pressure.

Guyton should be better than last year and just being better will be enough.

I’m not worried about Steele. Steele can play at a high level but I don’t think he fully recovered from his injury last season.

The OL should be good & interior should be dominant.
I wouldn’t expect dominant first year together.

Amazes me why more fans can’t just wait and see how it develops before making such claims.

He has elite speed.

I feel good about it even going into year 1.

Beebe should be much better in year 2 and I think he’s got high upside. He’s a Mauler.

Tyler Smith is elite already.

Booker is our question mark.. I’ll take that.

The tackles need to improve.

I think the middle of the pocket is going to be clean though which is a big deal in our division.

Dak can deal with the outside heat but inside heat is bad for him or any QB really.

My problem with Blue is that his biggest flaw may make him unplayable. That being ball security. If he cant improve that, he may not see the field much

Thats why Im for a trade for a HB. We dont have a bankable starter on the roster right now. If Blue can improve his ball security, I have zero issues giving him 200-250 carries. However, I want a bankable starter incase that doesnt happen. Sanders and Williams are not that. Unless they are looking for a 3rd or 4th, I wouldn't have shut the door on Hall
That’s a concern of mine as well.

If Blue can peel off a couple of 100+ yard games early..........he will get defensive coordinators' attention.
I have a feeling that is exactly what is going to happen when we get into camp & preseason. I think he's going to be making enough big plays to create a bit of Blue mania. I can even believe the rooks both creating buzz. Maybe the Blue Mafiah!!
