Johnson had plenty of completions on seams and gos during camp if you read everyone else's practice write ups.

http://www.nfl.com/players/bradjohnson/gamelogs?id=JOH322990&season=2006
he only had 5 games that he didn't throw an int in
against Buf he had 2 ints, against NE he had 3 ints and against chi he had 4 ints
he had only one game last year that he threw for more than 1 TD
he had 2 games with multiple fumbles

Doomsday101;1589294 said:I understand that and saw him play last season I also know that Minn was having many other problems with injuries on offense and he did not play well but looking over the last 2 to 3 years Johnson has done a solid job for the most part. All I can say is I have confidence in him should he have to come in for a few games this season. I'm not looking for him to be the starter over 16 weeks but if he is forced into action for 2 to 3 weeks yes I think he can do the job.
Zaxor;1589301 said:I hear ya Dooms but he didn't throw much the prior 2 years before last year
but if we do keep him lets hope we don't need him and if we do need him I sure hope he plays lights out

Zaxor;1589292 said:I thought I did read them all? hmmm (but time differances might be the cause for this) I thought everyone was calling him the "king of swing" because he hadn't throw anything but swing passes and when he did try to throw outs it was picked but hey I might have over looked a completion do you know what day it was on so I can have a look at that report...no seriously Stan I REALLY did not see it and it would do my heart good to know he has done it.
StanleySpadowski;1589341 said:I picked a day at random and went back to read the practice reports. In practice #14, Grizz had Johnson hitting Curtis on a deep ball and MacMahon had him hitting a deep post to a WR but he would have been sacked by Ayodele if it would have been live tackle so there are at least two deep balls completed by Johnson in just one practice.
Look, I wouldn't want Johnson as the starting QB but he does know his role and is a proven winner. That's pretty darn good for a backup QB.

Everyone needs to accept that Brad Johnson is our backup. That will not change this year. It probably won't change next year. It may not change in 2009 either. The best we can hope for in the future is a situation where we have Johnson as the immediate backup if Romo goes down for a single game but a developmental guy who gets the keys if it Romo is going to be out for a while. That developmental guy isn't Matt Moore right now -- in a year or two maybe he fills that role but for now, we don't have that 3rd guy who we can get ready to play.
