Sure they are, more so today than anytime prior considering FA movement, Dallas is different, we have one of the top defense in the NFL. I freely admit that with or without Dak this is going to be a tough game, would I prefer having Dak back? sure I would, no reservations at all about that
ok cool, I remember vaguely lol the days before FA where teams were the same for many years at a time.
So what you had said would be relevant back then.

I appreciate what Rush has done but just like my feelings with Dak, I would like a better QB. Dak has the tools to be better than Rush so if healthy I would like him back to have a better chance. I think Dak provides that even though I don't think Dak is a franchise guy.

I think he should start the Lions and bears games.
He deserves the opportunity for taking on the heavy lifting of the Eagles game that is definitely beyond a test of his skill set.

Very disappointing that DAk is not going to lead his team in this very important game.

Definitely a reason why no one was allowed to see him throw with his right hand Jerry didn't want people asking why he wasn't going to start when nothing looked the matter with him.
If he beats Philly, maybe he should start the rest of the season. JMO

Yeah, whatever you say. lol Dak is incapable of winning and producing on offense.

It's alarming at the amount of "fans" that seem more concerned about scoring points than winning games.
Well I think they idolize certain star players, and they want them to have good stats and win games.
People get excited over yds passed for in a game, 300 yds a game!! 400 yds lol 500 yds lol. They get more excited over that than if their team won or not.
The NFL has brain washed fans with the stats.

Most stats are silly and meaningless, but the nfl has fans thinking they are all important !
If your team or qb has great stats, that is as good as being a winner, or is a winner in some weird way.

At the end of the year, 2/3 of the nfl will be "IN THE HUNT !" for a playoff spot, they really are not, but that is what the nfl likes to put out there.
It is all part of a masterful spin the nfl does to dazzle common folk fans.

I think the same people who are praising Rush will also be the 1st to throw him under the bus should we lose.

Its not Cooper Rush beating any team, its the whole cowboys team. He has not earned the stripes at least yet , that single-handedly he elevates the game to beat any opponent. BTW I am not a Dakoteamer … LOL

Their public treatment of Cooper Rush is sickening. And very revealing of their character
yes good to know someone else thinks that lol.
They could salute him each week for doing good enough to win, kudos from owner would be good, since they are not paying him much.

Maybe one of the math guys here could tell us what rush makes per game?
and what dak makes lol then we could compare those/

If Rush manages to beat the Eagles then I can’t wait to see what this defense can do with an actual NFL QB leading the offense!

Is Rush playing by himself?

Dak Prescott 7-3 has a passer rating of 96.2 with 2,410 yards, 16 touchdowns and 7 interceptions in 10 games versus the Eagles in his career.

….and in the last 4 season the Eagles record has been 34-33. And that playing in the NFC Least

Real NFL powerhouse the Eagles have been…..that’s exactly why all the padded stats and meaningless wins in this division has left our Rayne Dakota with a 1-3 playoff record

When the Real teams with Real defenses show up, he predictably shrinks away.

I like Dak.
I have always been a fan of Dak.
I think Dak is a better QB than Cooper Rush.

But I do not take an undefeated QB, on what would be a 5 game winning streak, out of the lineup.

Until Cooper losses ...... Let Dak heal.
Yes you do. You might not if the QB is why you're winning. Rush is getting by by a bare minimum.

What does it mean to say "Cooper Rush beat the Eagles?"

Did Cooper Rush beat the Rams? The first 6 points came directly from the defense. The next 3 points came from special teams (the blocked punt): the offense did nothing with the field position. The next 7 points came from the run game, Pollard's 57-yarder. I can't think of a better example of a game that was a complete team effort.

After that, the Cowboys managed two FG drives and four punts. And none of the punt drives ate clock, either: they consumed a total of 7 minutes. Along the way, Rush fumbled twice but the Cowboys were lucky enough to recover both.

I'm thrilled with how Rush is performing as the backup, but the discussion around here just boggles my mind. If Dak had a game like that one, it would be held up as an example of how bad he is. Rush is exalted for it.

Context my brother, context.

one guy commands 40 million a year and is a 7 year veteran….the other is an UDFA with 5 career starts making 970k and takes up less than 1% of the teams salary cap

…..we expect more from the “franchise” quarterback when he stealing almost 20% of the teams cap room

they did, and I thought that was stupid, and they didnt get to another SB for a decade after that.

but hey I bet once they got rid of dilfer, they passed for more yds and scored more points !!!!!! lol
Just no more SB's

Hey I don't fault them for trying to upgrade. I do fault them for trying to upgrade with Elvis friggin Grbac. If that was all they were gonna do they should have stuck with Dilfer. And no... they didn't pass for more yards and score more points.. In fact they scored fewer points in the next three seasons than they had with Dilfer.. So in their case what they did was stupid. They replaced a mediocre player with even mediocre-er players! LOL! However I think the Cowboys have a mountain of evidence that the guy with the thumb injury CAN lead the offense to a LOT more yards and points and if they are able to pair that production with this defense they're are going to be one of the best teams in the league for the next several years.
