If Cowboys ask Ware to end retirement: 'I will answer the phone'***Merged***

This is the first step in it becoming reality. Talking about it publicly even in a joking matter or saying yes and no at the same time. I have said all along that I think Jerry has handshake deals with both Romo and Ware to come back if and when the team needs them. Both are fine with being retired but if the team looks poised for a deep run and a need at QB or DE arises, I think both have indicated to Jerry that they would be open to playing again. Ware is more likely than Romo because he could come in and spend a week or two getting ready and just go Rush the passer 12-15 snaps a game. It would take Romo more time and he would be taking much more risk.

Maybe if he had been around for some training camp. By the time he gets it going the guys will be coming back from suspension.
Youth movement.
For a game or two before he gets injured.

I wouldn't be shocked if he showed up on the playoff roster if we get that far.

He and Romo sign with us in the playoffs just so they can make it to the Super Bowl as Cowboys like they always deserved.

As much as I'd love to see D Ware come back and try for another ring, coach up the young guys, where is he going on the team:

Crawford, Charlton, Lawrence, Mayowa, Tapper are the DEs right now. We have Irving and Moore coming back from suspensions after weeks 2 and 4.

Who are we cutting to sign him? I think right now he's still probably better than most of our guys, but you still have to wonder if with his age and who we'd cut to sign him if it's worth it.
A special teams guy could be released.

They will not make or break a season.

Sacks will.

Oh please Jerrah make that call.

We easily have the cap space.

Randy Gregory can apply for reinstatement on or about Nov 2, 2017. Whether or not he's clean, is a different thread......but he can apply with 60 days left on his 1-year suspension which was January 2, 2017.

And who rules on his reinstatement request?

Yah, that has a pretty high likelihood of success...

It was a joke. But I can take this side of the argument and still dunk on you. If you have some stats to back up your claims then post em, don't just talk about em as if they exist. I watched every snap Dware played here. Quite a few of his sacks came in garbage time, largely bc we were a garbage team. And btw, Romo "haters" were right since 2014 when Dez caught it in Green Bay. Romo was done. Fanboys like you hated to hear it, but it was the truth.
actually YOU are the one that made the PATHETIC claim about garbage time sacks. SO YOU PROVE YOUR CRAP or SHUT UP.

Cut Moore...Ware would be a better backup QB than Moore, lol. But I'd absolutely sign Ware as pass rush specialist and cut Moore...

Yeah this was my point. ZERO chance Goodell rules him eligibile before the post season. I didn't know if that was necessary or if he was just "off the list" after a certain day

Guy won a super bowl.
Older, back issues....
