Dak and Zeke can take pay cuts and stay if we are one and out in the playoffs, or not even make it there.

Both cut their salaries by 2/3's, we can use that money to fill in the talent gaps where needed.

The Goal should be the conference championship.
If we somehow get back into position to the 1-2 seed and host throughout the playoffs...anything other than a SB appearance should be seen as a failure.

I still think we can come back. The 2021 Arizona Cardinals were 7-0 (and realistically should have been 8-0) with a better team (fully healthy) and injuries derailed them and might d the same to the Eagles.

Almost every team is dealing with this issue that are contenders. We dont have argue for 10 pages about the very few outliers that are probably on rookie contracts. QBs, even average ones, can bend teams over the barrel and I suspect if you were a REAL GM with a true million plus dollar job to lose if you made a mistake would probably pay the busdriver than risk setting your team back 3 years with a rookie.

Teams figure its harder to find a busdriver than it is to fill the roster around the busdriver with rookie contracts and vets. It is what it is. What is your solution to the problem?

The problem here is the premise that QBs alone win SBs. That’s not correct. Teams do. I agree that Dak needs to lead us to some playoff wins. But even the best QBs need help to win a SB.

Don’t believe me?

• Look at the 2020 SB champion Buccaneers. Brady was horrible in the NFC championship game that year vs GB. He threw 3 picks that allowed the pack to almost win that game. The Tampa defense bailed him out. He played very well in the SB. But without the TB defense, there is no SB win.
• Look at last year’s champ the rams. Matt Stafford had ZERO playoff wins until he was traded to a better TEAM. Stafford was a key part of them winning, but he certainly didn’t carry them alone.
  
• The year Filly won their SB their QB was Nick Foles. Anyone watching the e-girls playoff wins that season know very well that Nick Foles did not carry that team alone on his back.

Look, Dak needs to start leading this team to some playoff wins- on that I agree. But it takes a lot more than a hero at QB to win a SB.

There's a notion that QB's can;t lead, help..or inspire the defense. I think Rocky thinks that? I...do not. I think Mahomes and brady and the like...do help and inspire the defense.

Watching the sounds of sideline (whatever it is)...those guys on defense are watching.
