If Dak flops in the Tourney, what about Tom Brady for one last hoorah?

Well Dak is the league's biggest nice guy and hasn't won jack yet. Just saying.

Give the guy a chance.

The San Fran loss wasn't really on Dak.

I thought that, too, then thought differently after re-watching the game several times this offseason. There are 11 guys, or more, on both sides of the ball.

Brady certainly hasn't done it all by himself over the years.

Let's define "flop" as another one and done in the Playoffs.

I know this will annoy some fans, and to be clear, I haven't given up on Dak yet.... But talk is that Brady is looking to play again, and with another team.

If it was possible with the salary cap hit, because you know Dak won't hang around.... and assuming the Boys can bring back some of these potential free agents next year, would you consider a one-year stint with Brady?

Maybe draft the future QB with picks we get from Dak?
Due to salary cap implications, dak will be here next year.
No way around it.

Brady could come here to play "backup."

He's not in it for the money anyway.

Plus, Dak is a team guy..so he could learn to be content backing up the GOAT.

You wouldn't necessarily have to trade Dak.

We'd have the ability to play two QBs, and rest Tom, sometimes.

It could actually work, because TB would get hella endorsement money here..the one admirable thing about Brady, which has also been key to his success, is he'll take less to actually win because he knows money buys talent in the NFL, and football is a team sport.

I wouldn't say never regardless of the clause.

So, we are going to pay Dak $49 million next year to be a part-time QB?

the san fran game he wasn't a full mouthbreather, we should beat them this year since he's gone full mouthbreather.

Brady sucks, he doesn't even mouthbreath. I'd never sign him.

We could not afford Dak's cap hit and even if we hypothetically could, who in the hell is going to trade for Dak's contract when he is going to make $49 million next year?

In fact, just the opposite is going to happen, Dak is going to get a contract extension in order to lower his cap number next year.

Like it or not, Dak is not going anywhere for at least another 2 seasons minimum, probably 3 if you really crunch the numbers with a new extension.

I'm actually cool with this. I'd just like to see us spread some love to the Red Rocket. Dude earned a 5X this year, at least. And draft a QB by the 4th round in 2023.

Not me. He should have bowed out after winning the SB with Tampa. The damn is cracking more each passing week.
Yup!! 100% Agreed. He should have rode off into the sunset after his last Super Bowl win, a la Peyton Manning.

I wouldn't say no to thinking about it, I wanted him before he signed with TB but the FO signed Dak that same year to the big contract..

Brady will retire for good after this season you can almost bank on it. His team isn’t very good. His play has dropped way off and he’s going through a divorce. Just can’t see him returning next season.
I think the divorce is playing on him big time. Its hard to be on top of your game with something like this on we your mind.

I love the guy, I would not be opposed to it at all with our OL.

Restructure possible.

Think long-term, benefits to team and both players.

Chances are Brady could use some rest and it'd be possible, even advisable, that both play. Brady could extend his career if his body didnt take a full season's beating.

Strictly talking best case hypothrticals here.

I’m sure it is. He took 11 days off from training camp and it had to be because of his marital issues. He retired after last season, so he’s clearly about had enough. He’s probably regretting unretiring. It would be very surprising to see him return next season. I don’t see it happening.

Yeah, I have had some friends that have gone through a divorce, and it really messes with your mind and is an emotional roller coaster. One day they might be totally pissed off and the next day they cant stop crying.

I would imagine trying to concentrate on your work or your job while you got personal problems like this going on is almost impossible to do, Brady is human just like everybody else.
