If Dak keeps playing at his current level, will we replace him?

Lately, ive been seeing a lot of fans saying that if Dak continues to flop this season, we will replace him in the off-seaon.

While I want this to be true, knowing Jerry, he will over-spend on offensive weapons and replace Linehan and let Dak finish his contract.

Jerry is 76 years old. He does not want to rebuild.

No stuttering there... Our problems are complex and the issues do not rest solely on his shoulders. But this is the time in his career when I expect him to start taking over and righting wrongs that he sees pre-snap. Kill kill kill, call a timeout and go ask Linehan what the heck, or simply change the play. Period.

Rush is garbage and Mike White is raw. We reset again next draft and draft a freaking stud at QB just like the freaking Rams did... SIGH.

Depends, if Garrett feels his job on the line it almost always seems like the coach will go to a backup QB as a last ditch effort to save their career.

If Garrett feels safe, I think they give Dak 16 games due to Rush and White not being anything near ready for an NFL start.

All i know is that Garrett def needs the axe. He didnt want Romo to come back once he was healthy, while Jerry did.

Somehow Garrett outlasted this franchise’s all-time leader in Sacks, passing yards/touchdowns, and receiving TDs.

At some point, Jerry cant continue to let this man destroy all of our Goats careers

JJ and JG have wasted talent. Romo, Witten, Dez, Ware. The list of good or great players that should have had a ring.

JJ hires JG who IS NOT A HC AND NEVER WILL BE. JJ has put a team together with his football people that had a few shots. But when you get to the playoffs you need a HC and staff that know what they are doing. Every time we get out coached. May have the players that can win but a HC that is standing there clapping. No and I repeat no in game adjustments ever. He won’t allow Linehan to do anything other than call plays from JG playbook. This playbook is a index card with 8 plays. Plays that worked in the 90’s.

Until this changes we will watch this staff waste and ruin careers. JG set and watched Dak take a beating last year for the falcons and egirls game. He don’t know how to make adjustments to help him. Dak hasn’t been the same since. No confidence in his arm or his O-Line. After 2.5 seconds Daks feet start moving and he is checking out of the corner of his eyes at the line. Holds the ball because he knows if he starts throwing picks he will lose his job. His growth has been stunted. They want him to be something he can’t right now. And maybe never will be. Dak could have hit his ceiling? Who knows. But a good HC and or OC could have put things together to win with him and help him gain confidence.

We would have to have a team so dominant they can win despite having no HC. And the players know JG don’t run the show.

Believe me if JJ wanted Romo back in as QB then it would happen. JJ loves Romo and knew the last time he went down he had to end it for Romos health.

I think there’s enough voices of reason around Jerry that if Dak is hot garbage all season long he won’t get a starter type contract. Might get top flight backup type money if no other teams have interest, with the promise of competing for the job against whatever 1st round qb we take.

A lot of people on this board saw what Dak is when he first started playing a couple years ago and predicted what we are seeing now.

Although I’ll pull for him as I have been because I want the Dallas Cowboys to win, I’ll say what I’ve been saying for a couple years now. We need an upgrade at QB to someone who has the talent to make all the throws expected of a professional QB. It’s hard to find guys that are elite but there is no doubt now that it’s time to start seriously looking.

I bought the notion from others to give Dak this year, his third year, to give him the time to get where he needs to be. I’m sorry but after watching him live in Charlotte I know all I need to know and what a lot of us realized a couple years ago.

I hope Dak and the team turn it around and I’ll still pull for them like crazy.

Negative. There is absolutely nothing to relax for.

• We bubble wrapped our entire offense for the preseason (brilliant...)
• Our offensive line is missing assignments left and right. Zero consistency. One play they look great, the next, Bobby Wagner is laughing as he hugs Dak or Zeke in the backfield.
• Garrett's clapping repulses me.
• Jerry doesn't care just as long as the revenue stream keeps flowing...
• Linehan in in over his head.
• Kellen Moore is a student in a teaching role...
• Tyron is not going to last all 16 games.
