If Dak keeps playing at his current level, will we replace him?

If Dak doesn't play better, we'd have to.

Dak's not played well. He was downright bad in CAR. He's been better since. I think he's a guy whose game really drops off more than most when his pocket isn't clean. He had a couple of INTs that weren't his fault in SEA, but when he doesn't have the time to throw, he looks indecisive or his mechanics break down. And he's not a gifted enough passer to be able to overcome everything when he doesn't have a decent pocket or can't run. That said, when you can protect him or put him in a position to compromise a defense with his legs, he's more effective than most. And he takes good care of the ball, which is exactly what you want if you've invested heavily in your running game and have a good defense (how nice is that to say?)

I've really been a lot more disappointed with the OL so far. Too much pressure on the edges, way too much inconsistency, and then the rookie has played well on many snaps, but gets beat badly occasionally. You have to expect that, but coupled with the other issues, those plays kill drives.

I don't know why it is the OL has taken 4-5 games each of the last few seasons to find a groove. That shouldn't be happening, even with Frederick out. It happened last year when all we were doing was moving Collins to RT and swapping out at LG.

Dak has a bad case of panic mechanics. Under duress, he cannot throw with any accuracy, even when his target is open.

The team must package something together and draft a QB in the first round.

I don't think we need to package anything. I think right now that if we lose tomorrow we will be on our way to having a top 5 pick and maybe even a top 3 pick. Our Off is so pathetic that I don't think we will win that many games. we are not a bad team, we just don't have a QB that can beat you with his arm. I think in this day..QB have to be mobile but they also need to be able to throw and make quick decisions. I.hope that we win tomorrow and if we do we can put this to rest for another week, but I would rather know what we have with our QB than have another off season of JJ saying that Dak is practicing and hitting everything. I hate when I read that our players are having great off seasons....I mean what are they suppose to say. Most of the bad teams already have their starting QB so if we get a top 5 pick it won't be that much that we have to give up..maybe a second and next years 1st round pick. Dak better makes some plays....he can easily throw 2 picks and throw for less than 150 yards.

Negative. There is absolutely nothing to relax for.

  • We bubble wrapped our entire offense for the preseason (brilliant...)
  • Our offensive line is missing assignments left and right. Zero consistency. One play they look great, the next, Bobby Wagner is laughing as he hugs Dak or Zeke in the backfield.
  • Garrett's clapping repulses me.
  • Jerry doesn't care just as long as the revenue stream keeps flowing...
  • Linehan in in over his head.
  • Kellen Moore is a student in a teaching role...
  • Tyron is not going to last all 16 games.

No time to relax bro... But thanks for the offer.
Wow, that’s very generous of you but you forgot a few

- Collins has regressed
- Dak has regressed
- Lee is hurt once again
- Zeke needs to focus on the basic fundamentals
- we have no TE’s or WR’s

If Dak doesn't throw for at least 200 yards tomorrow, I'm done supporting him. Period.

No stuttering there... Our problems are complex and the issues do not rest solely on his shoulders. But this is the time in his career when I expect him to start taking over and righting wrongs that he sees pre-snap. Kill kill kill, call a timeout and go ask Linehan what the heck, or simply change the play. Period.

I'll be watching my dude closely tomorrow...
My dude never let's me down. 200+.. Beautiful day.

Zeke carried the team today. Dak made a few nice throws but missed some easy ones. My dear is that we do not upgrade the position. There are better throwers of the football coming out of college.

Dak completed 2x 30ish yard passes, 3 incomplete over 20 yards(1 of which was over 30), 1 completion between 15-20 yards, 2 completions and 1 incomplete between 10-15 yards... everything else was inside of the 10. Dak threw 27 attempts. So about 18/27 attempts were less than 10 yards.

If Dak keeps this up...we shouldnt.
Dak decides where this goes.
He needs to keep this type of play going and build on it.
If he regresses....we go QB.
If he keeps this up...we go DT,WR or S.

I say if we're in a position to make that upgrade in the off season through the draft, without over extending ourselves, sure.

That being said, push come to shove, we have bigger fish to fry. Like adding weapons that can catch the ball in the end zone when it's dropped directly into your hands and quality depth in our oline so we're not one injury away from being a mess.
