If Dak keeps playing at his current level, will we replace him?

If Dak doesn't throw for at least 200 yards tomorrow, I'm done supporting him. Period.

No stuttering there... Our problems are complex and the issues do not rest solely on his shoulders. But this is the time in his career when I expect him to start taking over and righting wrongs that he sees pre-snap. Kill kill kill, call a timeout and go ask Linehan what the heck, or simply change the play. Period.

I'll be watching my dude closely tomorrow...
I thought Dak and Linehan didn’t talk, it went through Moore

God I hope so man. But considering how incompetent our FO is. I could see them keeping Dak another year.

Being able to admit when you’re wrong, learn and move on from your mistakes, is an extremely important skill. One I believe Jerry lacks at times.

If Dak looks bad these next two games and we lose, they put in White. Partially to see what White has. Partially to see if it’s a Dak problem or scheme problem.

If Dak continues playing at his current level, the Cowboys will have no choice but to replace him if they still want to be considered a legitimate NFL franchise.

Lately, ive been seeing a lot of fans saying that if Dak continues to flop this season, we will replace him in the off-seaon.

While I want this to be true, knowing Jerry, he will over-spend on offensive weapons and replace Linehan and let Dak finish his contract.

Jerry is 76 years old. He does not want to rebuild.

What do yall think?
we could easily be 1-7 after 8 games and Dak will keep his amazing streak of sub 200 yard passing games alive. At that point, put in the next QB and lets see what he has got. What will we have to lose?

isn't this next QB draft class supposed to suck?

great timing for Dak to implode

If Dak is replaced, it would be fun to have another "WHITE" back @ QB and put #11 on him if he succeeds a little bit.

This would NOT prevent me from drafting Grier, Herbert, or Falk if available. No way.

Dark horse QB to watch? Eric Dungey of SU. Reminds a bit of Dak, but probably throws it better.

Negative. There is absolutely nothing to relax for.

  • We bubble wrapped our entire offense for the preseason (brilliant...)
  • Our offensive line is missing assignments left and right. Zero consistency. One play they look great, the next, Bobby Wagner is laughing as he hugs Dak or Zeke in the backfield.
  • Garrett's clapping repulses me.
  • Jerry doesn't care just as long as the revenue stream keeps flowing...
  • Linehan in in over his head.
  • Kellen Moore is a student in a teaching role...
  • Tyron is not going to last all 16 games.

No time to relax bro... But thanks for the offer.
That’s why the Offense is sloppy and out of sync. Will improve this week.

O-Line will improve this week.

The clapping makes me sick also.

JJ has been like this for a while. It’s all about the money and he thinks he knows how to run a team.

Linehan has been over his head. Romo made him look better because he disregarded the play called and did his own thing. Dak cant do that yet.

Kellen Moore has the job because Linehan loves him. A huge mistake for a young QB to have and coach that don’t know more than the guy he is trying to coach. Moore is collecting a check. Another example of not helping a struggling QB.

Tyron may or may not make it all season. He still looks rusty.

I am still giving it a little more time before I freak out. But if this game looks as bad as the last, then I don’t think you and I will be the only ones freakin out or done supporting certain individuals.

JJ may be the there himself. He left the stadium without talking to media in game 1.

Was ok in game 2.

Was pounding his fist in game 3. He is starting to realize some things. And will make a change if needed. It will start to cut into his wallet.

I'm sure they will replace him but I can guarantee that whoever they get in here is going to suffer the same fate.

Give him this season. If he suddenly improves & shows significant growth then great.
If he stays the same then the season will likely end at 3-13 or 4-12 - top 5 pick & you can try and go get a QB.

You replace the coach. Why do our players get worse instead of improving?

Dak came in slinging the rock playing with confidence. One full off season under this coaching staff and he's been down hill ever since.

I mean dak needs a qb guru not a scrub that's not even a decent back up. Or dumb coaching that calls curls and go routes with zero imagination.

You fire Garrett and Linehan before you give up on Dak.

The way it looks right now for a decent qb is very bleak. Yes, Dak's play last season and three games into this current one is costing him significant dollars. But his next contract (assuming he’s offered one) will, due to the value of retaining a quality qb in the NFL, likely carry a cap hit that will start somewhere around $20 million.

It’s highly unlikely that the two other QB's we have on roster, Cooper Rush or Mike White, will be a better alternative now or in the future.

The top of '19 of free agent qb's, which includes the Tyrod Taylor of the Browns, Brett Hundley of the Packers and maybe Teddy Bridgewater (if the Saints don’t re-sign him this offseason), doesn’t really offer attractive replacements for Dak, either.

And as far as the '19 NFL Draft, forget about it according to these so called NFL experts. Their saying it's not a particularly strong class for qb's and a surprising number of NFL teams are relatively set at the position. That said, yes, we are stuck with Dak for sometime to come.

Remember how long it took Jerry to FINALLY draft a qb. YEARS!

Why force the new coach to take on this talentless Qb?

You would be setting up the new guy to fail

What do yall think?
Depends on who you mean by we. We, as in us the fans, yes. We, as in the Cowboys F.O., probably not.
