Before Flozelle Adams got injured our OL was maybe average. Even with that our offense did pretty good. Until Adams went down Bledsoe was on pace for over 4000 yards and over 30 TD passes. He was one of the 3 highest rated QBs in the NFL. It was when the OL fell apart that Bledsoe faded. But he still had some good games.

With the garbage we had for a OL I think it is amazin that he threw 23 TD passes...more TDs then Ints.

He is a very good QB. I would love to see what his numbers would be if he had a better OL and better talent around him. Bledsoe is not the problem at all with our offense.

Some of you who think he is....well...just go and take a look at the Colt n Bolts game where Payton Manning was under alota pressure that game. Even a great QB like him can only do so much when he has little time to throw and sometimes not even get his feet set.

Bill Parcells or no Bill Parcells after this year I do hope we keep Bledsoe. When he actually has a good OL and better talent to work with then some of you who want DB gone wil be glad he stayed.

Agreed that the O-line was real bad. But what bothers me about Bledsoe is that he is careless with the ball(a 13 year vet). Too many fumbles, lost fumbles.

Sorry Wolverine but that did not involve much thought but a whole lot of wish....

Look do you believe BP knows what he is doing if so read further if not than no need to read further...

Last year the starting RT was Torrin Tucker regardless of the injury to Rogers... Pettiti beat out Tucker for the spot before Flo went down so we upgraded the RT and that is the Gospel according to Parcells...Amen

last year our starting right guard was Gurode...He was so bad we spent 9 million to fix it and according to the player himself he is 100% healthy plus we have Gurode sitting on the bench so we upgraded the RG and that is the Gospel according to Parcells...Amen

last year our starting Center was Al Johnson he was so good last year that we felt that we need not upgrade the position and only brought a token challenge from Gurode in training camp...another year for a young player under Parcells tuteledge is a slight upgrade but still we upgraded the C that is the Gospel according to Parcells...Amen

last year our starting left guard was Allen who has while not reached his form of old has gotten better each year under Parcells...Heck he is so good Peterson can't even sniff the field...again a slight upgrade but still we upgraded the RG that is the Gospel according to Parcells...Amen

last year our starting left tackle was Flozell Adams but Flo was having a horrible year last year but he still managed to defend off all new comers in training camp and retained his starting position but fell to injury after a rather auspicious start to the season in steps Torrin Tucker who is way better on the left side than he was on the right side last year and that is the Gospel according to Parcells....Amen

so there you have it an improved oline in 4 of the 5 positions and a much improved player in the 5th and final position...heck what more can you ask for

do not be mad at me for trying to show the people the truth of what is happening...

you fine folk can disagree all you wish but if you read this far I will assume that you believe that Parcells knows what he is doing... so please keep your emotions and your feely things to yourself and just use logic and understand that Parcells had a better offensive line this year than last...After all he built it...

wolvie - then what was his excuse last year? the year before? before that? he's EARNED HIS REP yet you don't wanna deal with it or think it's a fluke. 1 player went down. if your qb can't function when ONE PLAYER goes down, hang it up.

i'm not saying we had a good line, i'm not saying it wouldn't be better. i AM saying there always seems to be *something* with bledsoe fans that let them see his strengths yet turn a blind eye to his weaknesses.

Instead of always saying how good would Brady, Manning, Elway...etc...Would be behind our offensive line. Maybe we should ask how good would Bledsoe be behind the Colts offensive line ? Or Denvers...NY's ? Washingtons...

Ask those teams if they would rather switch QB's with us.

Thought I'd just ask to spin it around. Fair enough since enough people ask the question the other way around about other QB's behind our O-line.

You know that's a good way of looking at it.

And the fact is none of those teams would trade QB's with us.

You can probably through in...

Jacksonville
Cincy
Rams
Cards
Titans
Vikings
Bills

And I'm sure there are several more...

So in retrospect ... do you think Terrence Newman was worth taking when Byron Leftwich was still on the board???

I love TNew, but I think a star QB is worth alot more than a star CB.

I was so all over Suggs it wasn't funny. Lefty was my #2, but I am fine with T-new, he's been great.

sad thing was that JJ wanted to try Hutch and Q so we were NOT going for a QB. that is what happens when you try to do things on the cheap. We WOULD have gotten a good CB sometime- they are EASY to find compared to QUALITY QB's.
Bledsoe is the best we could get that could play WELL for us NOW. Simple as that.
Yes he needs more protection then most- BUT if you give it to him he WILL PRODUCE.
AND add to that the FACT that you do not win in the NFL WIHOUT A GOOD O LINE.
SO we would need one ANYWAY. THAT is WHY we must have a good O line for next year.
