If Dallas wants a stud at LB...

The LBs I like in this draft are...

DE/LB Lamar Woodley of Michigan

Paul Posluzny of Penn State.

that's just it, regardless of what we get i don't think parcells lets the defense get aggressive enough. ware could do a LOT MORE if he was called upon to do so.

ware not being effective or being misused?

Ware has been effective, he just needs a cohort on the other side. Those other OLB can't pass rush so we become painfully predictable and conservative. We moved over Burnett in an effort to get better blitzers on the field and he went brain dead and didn't even touch the TE on a play where he should have went through the TE.

We can make some tweaks and get a bit more pressure but we are not gonna be better than earlier in the season because we lost our best pass rusher in Greg Ellis.

IMHO....
Doesn't matter whether we blitz every down, play 5-2 4-3 3-4 10-1, play prevent defense or anything else: right now we have 1 guy who can really rush a passer and that is it. So, we have to put in as many guys who can sorta rush the passer as we can.

that can do everything for a defense, then they need to figure out how to draft Lawrence Timmons. The LB from FSU just declared for the draft and signed with Rosenhouse. He's 6'3, 230 (little light, but a good frame), can fly, is physical and hits like a truck. Mark my words....he'll be a better pro the Ernie Sims.

Given the fact The Cowboys LB's have looked a little exposed at times, Timmons could play OLB in the 3-4 and Carp could move inside and fight it out with James/Adoyle. I know there are other needs, but if he slips to late 1st round (and he wouldn't have declared if he wasn't going in round 1), then Dallas could really use this kind of an athlete. He can play with his hand down too, but would obviously need to put on some weight.

What LB position does Timmons play when Ellis returns?

before we do anything on D, please for the love, draft like 50 offensive linemen, and see if any cream rises...PLEASE!
