Trysten hill wasnt drafting the board. They said as much last year. It was a reach for need and backfired.
Good point.

Same result, more clapping.
LVE was BPA. So was Taco, pretty much, we just got wiped out in 2017.
I remember them saying they had a 2nd round grade on McGovern and using the “blinking light” phrase they just used again yesterday on Lamb. I don’t remember them saying they had him higher than Hill, though. I do remember they took him even though he wasn’t a need because he was an obvious BPA.
if it was bpa tj watt would be the pick not taco and you don’t take a project hill with red flags over 3 safeties that you needed and could of had in rapp, adderly, thornhill.
The Gints are getting direction from Garrett as OC.How do you see this years draft shaking out? Would lamb be the pick? Diggs in the 2nd?
Just doesnt seem like the usual dallas draft to me.
probably the same, since jerry was inserting himself more and more in the process. as much as we want to give credit to McCarthy, its the scouts, ranking, ratings we do before the draft that dictates the picks. the needs were well known, although I am sure coaches had input. but when you have someone ranked 6th on your board and he falls to 17, you don't think you take. its a no brainer....we knew defense was going to be the game on second day, if Diggs was rated as top 32 player, at 51 you pick him and it fills a need. credit to scouting department and Jerry's patience in not over thinking and trying to get cute on draft dayHow do you see this years draft shaking out? Would lamb be the pick? Diggs in the 2nd?

Their OL is being rebuilt and Garrett has some skills there.
His mistake was letting Marinelli have input.
It was his undoing. The defense collapsed and we lost and the offense was not up to taking up the slack.
That's pretty much it, the quarterback never blossomed and Marinelli never put together a playoff quality defense. Rebuilding the Dallas OL is what made them competitive again but the timing was no good, Romo was already falling apart. Dallas better make sure their defensive front 7 gets fixed because the NYG will be fixing that OL of theirs...
He's not so who cares. Why would anyone care about someone no longer here except the 2 times a year we face his offense.
If Garret & crew was still involved, here's what our 2020 haul would look like through 3 Rounds:How do you see this years draft shaking out? Would lamb be the pick? Diggs in the 2nd?

And therein lies the problem.TJ wasn’t higher on their board than Taco was in 2017.
