Give them one.

"We all know Houston will treat the game like the Super Bowl. When you've never won one, the next best thing is beating the hated Cowboys."

- Dallas Morning News Reporter, Jean Jacques Taylor

You know, the way I look at it, is if they want to make it a point to beat Dallas so bad, which you know they do, it's all their fans have talked about since they "hung 23 on us in the preseason," why don't we treat them with the same fire they're giving us?

All I hear (and say myself sometimes) is about how much I hate the Commanders, how much I hate the Eagles, and guess who else I hate? The beloved Giants . I even still have to remember how much I dislike the Vikings team and hope we crush them when week 6 happens, but one thing I don't hear enough of is how much I hate the Houston Texans.

Ya'll, these people think they're the best thing to hit Texas since briskett. They think they're the best team in the state, yes; they think they're better than the Dallas Cowboys. Be rest assured they think that, the Texans fans are at an all time high right now with a huge win over the Colts followed by an overtime come from behind victory against a team we didn't beat, and they're starting to think that the Cowboys, well that shouldn't be too much of a problem right?

Wrong. I don't know about you guys, but that pisses me off. And it ought to piss my Dallas Cowboys off. I can't speak for them, but I can speak for the fans. When I go to Buffalo Wild Wings on Sunday here in South Carolina surrounded by Deadskins fans, the Dallas Cowboys' presence will be known.

Beat them up, I want to see Matt Schaub on his back more than two dollar hooker. It's like Keith Brooking said against the Commanders (I dug the Jersey Shore reference,) we've got a little situation on our hands.

I figured we needed another hype thread ;) We're going to support the Dallas Cowboys win or lose, dead or alive, through thick and thin, you're either with us or you're against us.

Sunday can't come soon enough.

:grrr:Off to war.

No, but you can produce hate.

This is Dallas vs. the red headed step child of Texas.

True but there is a natural rivalry because it is an interstate matchup that goes even beyond football

Not real hate .....

I hate the Skins, Giants, and Eagles .....

I hate the 49'rs, Packers, and Steelers .....

The Texans do not inspire hatred ...... they have not been relevant enough to inspire anything but antipathy.

screw them ...

A one sided matchup at best. They do not deserve to be a Rivalry with us. They are an afterthought.

For sure. I hate the Texans. I dont lose sleep over them, but I hate them.

It would be nice if our team ever got fired up. But they never do. It's like they have no heart to go along with getting the short stick on smarts. Or who knows, maybe they are so disciplined they don't show emotion?

Hahaha, I inferred Dallas has discipline. :laugh2:

They better be viewed as pretty damn relevant right now, wins over the Colts and the Commanders showed that. Maybe not in the big picture, but next week they are as relevant as relevant gets.

I dunno.

Them coming into Dallas and wining their franchise opener pissed me off.

Them kicking Dallas in the teeth a few weeks ago pissed me off.

I'd say there's a high chance that I could really hate this team if they kick Dallas in the teeth again on Sunday.

As I said it is more than a rivalry of football teams it is a rivalry of 2 major Texas Cities. Football being Texas number one sport in Texas has a natural rivalry to it. I do agree the feeling are more one sided given Houston lack of success be it the Texans or the Oilers but I can promise you Reliant will be a total mad house this weekend and the Cowboys better be able to match that intensity they will face.

Pissing on Houston?

;)

Worse disrespect is to think of a team as an afterthought.

Cards always hated that about Dallas.

Ahhhhh, sneaky.

I like the thought but I can't muster disingenuous confidence right now.

I just want a win. I don't care how.

Just win.

My thing is ..... the Cowboys are not gonna hate the Texans right now ..... no matter how bad we as fans "hate" them.

True team Rivalries come from years and even decades of dirty crap done and said to each other..

Sorry, I can't build up much contempt for the Oilers.

If it was the Oilers ..... that would be different.

They had history that was worth being a "Rival" with.

As a fan of the Cowboys living in Houston, I hope they find that hatred for them this week. The texans fans went crazy after the pre season win..it will be 100 times worse if we lose this weekend. For a team that has not done anything of importance in their entire existance, the fans are obnoxious.

You have to remember that a lot of us are old-school jilted Oilers fans who have resented all the success the Cowboys have enjoyed over the years. Not only that but when you have an over populated Cowboys fan-base in your own city, it just adds salt to the wounds.

I commend you many Oiler/Texans fans would not admit that. I have lived in Houston since 1970 and when me and my family moved here we pulled for the Oilers given the fact they were not in the NFC but after some of the smack we took from Oiler fans it was not hard to wish nothing but bad on the Houston team. Funny but Texans are the only Houston team I dislike, I pull for the Rockets and Astros but when it comes to football no way in hell would I pull for the Texans. :laugh2:
