I think he'll be ready. I don't think he likes practice. I do wonder if he trains hard enough to get himself into shape.

Yatzee He's never had a problem during games, he just comes up with bogus injuries so he can skip practice, then miraculously is ready to go for games. Anybody who's played at any level hates these people.

He's an exceptional talent but a head case. The coaches didn't really want him back but he's a Jerry acquisition so he's staying but if it hadn't been for the weed he might have gotten more money from another team.

Dallas is where all the talented misfits land, and thrive.. Having said all that I'm still happy we have him, the dude can ball out when healthy...

Many vets long ago did this which IMO was a way for them to prolong their careers and avoid injury. They had nothing to prove in camp. They just needed to be ready for the opener. Many old coaches allowed it.

He should be one of the highest paid linebackers in the NFL by talent.

Instead, he's on the veteran minimum. Dallas got him for a song.

There's a reason.

This would be true if he was on the veteran's minimum. Hint: he isn't.

Still sick about losing Durant and Carter. Oh well...

How so, they were "higher' character guys but they both got nicked up as much as hardy. Durant was journeyman he never lasted more than few seasons every where he went. He played well for Dallas when he played, he also was getting up in age. Carter I had high hopes for and probably would be what you want your ideal 4-3 LB to be talent and measurables wise but he was "slow' in probably the worst place, his head.

I hate to keep being the bearer of bad news. I'm so happy that Jerry is trying to get the best out of him. Now it's all up to Ro.

He is, but he can earn his way to more with incentives. Players of his caliber generally get vastly more lucrative contacts with guaranteed money.

In addition to his base salary of 750k he had a half million dollar signing bonus and yes he has a bunch of "likely to be earned" incentives around playing time.

So. Again. He isn't on a veteran minimum salary.

How many articles could I show you of the front office talking up player X that didn't work out. Its what NFL and all sports front office do. What Jones says doesn't support anything. All the evidence you need in McClain is what has been seen. And evidence both past and present make a pretty compelling case that he is a good football player that if you have you need a very strong contigancy plan for becasue he cant be counted on.

It's funny to me that Nooooobody is concerned about Harry's character. All I hear I is the squealing sounds that remind me of little school girls on the playground...."oh look at Hardy...I can't wait for Hardy".
I get you're question, but these guys are going by first hand experience so far

All they've seen is a guy who is almost the opposite of McClain as far as passion for the game and effort in practice and in the training room.
If were being fair,we should go by what we personally see and experience and not the theoretical.

Bogus injuries?

The guy came off a couch and had 2 and a half months to get into football shape and learn a new scheme and integrate with new teammates.

Hardly shocking that he was constantly nicked up. I also think negativity came his way because he ended the season with back to back concussions. I bet he purposefully threw his head into tackles so he could come off the field. Hint that was sarcasm.

Why can't folks just leave it at that? The part about him being a good football player and having capable backups. Heck, you want capable backups in all scenarios.

When I hear somebody say "Hardy can't be trusted because he might end up killing a woman"...as much as some want to discredit her, and the evidence past and present. "Once a cheater always a cheater." (insert beater)

I'm always going to root for McClain until something different happens with him as long as Hardy is put on a pedastle fotball wise or otherwise.

Well they need to keep it that way and stop the cattiness. Saying someone doesn't like football for example and doesn't like to practice. Again, the guy got off his couch with no training and conditioning and played at the highest level. He also admitted he was going through some things when stepped away from the game. What do these people want...blood? It's intellectually dishonest to make some of the definitive statements I've been reading about the player.

I think (hope) we're all pulling for him.

What's funny is the dude comes off the couch, takes our defense to a new level with no talent, gets nicked up a bit but still plays, outside of the concussions. And he still gets no love? Meanwhile Sean Lee has the right attitude, we know he can play, but can't ever make it through a season or offseason. And he gets all the love?

I'm confused.

This board is just funny like that. Most people hate the most talented, most dynamic, and most productive players on this team..
