If I was Jerry

I would walk straight to Jaylon's locker and tell him the glasses deal is off and no more whatever the hell he's doing at the Star.

Then I would tell Demarcus to put his helmet on so I could grab it by the mask and hand over a Cease and Desist order on any and everything Hotboyz. "You don't deserve any nickname on my team".

Then I would fire Moore, just for the gasps and look Nolan in the eyes for a whole 45 seconds before walking out, yelling You're All Next!
All this is a result of Jerry. Come on man....

I'd tell Nolan to get the f out.
I'd tell Mike McCarthy, you're in charge of the offense from now on.
I'd let Jaylon and Tank play out this year and include them in any trades, etc. If no trades happen, I'd cut them and eat the cap over the next few years.
This would be Zeke's last year in a Cowboys uniform.
MM has one more year, if it's like this year, it's his last.

If he means what he says, about the "winning is the name of the game" thing he said 31 years ago, then prove it.
It would be a lot easier pill to swallow if JJ did something along these lines

If I was Jerry id probably laugh at how I can put such a garbage product on the field and still milk millions of dollars out of the fans.

I’d talk to as many of the respected “football guys” around the league as I could and get a consensus of the best GM’s to consider (while not breaking any applicable tampering rules) and pick one. My personal player philosophy is to take big school, productive, HEALTHY players high in the draft and don’t reach or trade up under most circumstances.

Yeah, sure Boss. Whatever you say. Guaranteed contract, right? Thanks for the nice retirement fund. Money for nothing. All this money and I don;t have to show up for work for the next 4 years.

I love it when this board goes to hell!
People screaming, "Off with his head!" pointing fingers, and going nutballz!
Life is full of chaos: Who to trade this week? Who to cut? Who should we fire? Burn down the Star and start over!
Pitchforks, tar and feather! Let's do this!

I understand your point on Kellen Moore. He's had it relatively easy with a good OL since he's been here. He got off track when we fell behind early and (my thinking only) that affected his play calling. He did have a few good series, especially when he addressed the EDGE/End blasting in. He's young, gets impatient and wants to showcase his high power/nukeball offense when he needs to take a deep breath, step back, and just work the ball downfield. (Yeah, I know every time we've gotten a good drive going something bad happens).

Defense is abysmal. And at this point, I don't care whose fault it is. It needs immediate resuscitation, or put out of its misery.

That's the kind of thing I'd expect Jerry to do - make scapegoats of everyone. Blame them for his poor decisions.

If I was Jerry I'd take a long, hard look in the mirror and ask myself if Stephen and I are really the best people to be putting together this football team. Then I'd hire a GM, get out of his way, and tell Stephen to come sit with me in the owners' box and watch the game.

They've spent 25 years doing things Jerry's way. It hasn't worked. It won't work.
You're exactly right. No one twisted Jerry or Stephen's arms and made them prematurely hand Jaylon Smith and large contract extension. They're the idiots who whipped out the checkbook based on one promising season. Rash decisions like that have plagued the Cowboys for 25 years and counting.

Who would they bring in?

Marvin Lewis? Wade Phillips? Kris Richard?
This is one of their main problems. They're too lazy to do any real legwork to identify young up and coming coaches who are tucked away on other teams' staffs. Jerry always goes for the recognizable name. The retread who has washed out at 3 or 4 other locations and has bounced around the league a bit

Times like these, some turn to prayer.
The child has grown, the dream is gone and i have become comfortably numb.......pink floyd

If I were Jerry?.......throw my ego out the window, get rid of the TV/radio shows, get humble, bring in a GM that is allowed to do the job, let a quality Coach come in here and hire his staff.....and sit back.......but we know he can't do that. Oh well....mediocrity for a long time.

Jerry writes checks. He only gets upset with the local media who refuses to kiss his arse.

I would prefer you were Jerry. You dont mind being uncomfortable.
