If it comes down to a Safety?

Both of them would have been top 10 picks in last years draft.. I would be happy with either of them.. Jernigan is my favorite DL so he would be my first option

ahhahahahahahaha
neither of them are better then Vaccarro and he went 15th.

I always laugh when people say "trade down." What if there isn't an offer? Or the couple offers you have are awful? Why do people just assume the team can trade down and get fair value?

This is a deep draft, but with Players like Zack Martin and possibly Lewan the top 2 Wrs( Lee, Evans), Ebron all possibly being available at 16, i think there is a great chance one of the teams at the bottom of the round would jump.

Patriots needs WR, TE, OL
Browns have two picks they could want that extra WR to team with Gibson
Saints TE they will probably lose their TE
Broncos needs OL
Seattle will need WR or TE

Dallas is sitting in a very good spot to get extra picks

Any of those teams that you named in a trade up I'd charge a 2nd & a 3rd alongwith their 1st any kind of move up. Cleveland is the most logical because they have 2 3rds and 2 4ths and might be willing to part with a bevy of picks to get their new QB a new weapon.

Exactly. If Lee or Evans or martin are there at 16 i think the browns could call

I agree, I thought we had a bad owner but my lord that guy in Cleveland takes the cake. If Lombardi was still their I think they'd prolly stand pat with that second pick but I don't think that's going to happen now since this owner knows he has to win immediately or he's gonna look like even more of an idiot

Manziel and Evans would make the browns scary with Gibson and Cameron

Haslam is what Jerry Jones would have been like if he did not make the right hire in Jimmy Johnson.

Well, we traded down last year and did not get "fair value".

Sometimes teams just bail because they do not know what to do.

Dix is really hard to get a handle on.

Just when you think you've got him, he goes soft on you.

He's raw and a bit hard to swallow.

He tends to lead with the head.

He fails to wrap up, leading to disastrous consequences.

He takes bad angles, sometimes ending up in the back-end.

He likes to roam, but he's much better "in-the-box."

He's been called experienced, but his lack of form often leads to inconsistent results.

Once someone gets ahold of Dix he can cause quite a spill.

At least he's bigger than average.

Haha i see what u did there

No thanks on either at that spot. O front five or D front seven BPA. You set your board and grab the trenches guy that is next up unless a no-brainer trade floats across. I like Church and Wilcox if we rush the passer and hate Church and (Clinton-Dix or Pryor) if our rush remains dormant. The best chance at improving pass rush is to use the best resources (16th pick) on that player. If no pass rush, we better be able to control the ball. I'm well aware that through all the offseason machinations we will do what we need to arrive at 8-8 but if for some reason it's possible to be something else, I believe this is the way to do it.

I did watch full games on both. Clinton-Dix did not seem special at all and with Pryor, I have never seen so many plays where the safety ran past the play.

Almost all of the draft "experts" are saying that a top 20 pick is like a top 10 pick in most drafts including last years draft.. Both Pryor and Clinton Dix are projected to go top 20 at this point. Vaccaro had a great rookie year but his stock leading up to the draft steadily fell and he had an underwhelming combine running 4.63 with only 14 BP reps.

Intro: NFL Network analyst Mike Mayock hosted a conference call on Tuesday afternoon with the Combine fast approaching. Here’s a few of the key points Mayock talked about during Tuesday’s call and how that might impact the Colts draft process.

INDIANAPOLIS – Mike Mayock’s pre-combine conference call lasted over two hours on Tuesday afternoon but the draft analyst wasted no time getting to the point.

In his opening statement, Mayock called this draft class the deepest he has seen in 10 years.

Here are three takeaways specific to the Colts from Mayock’s conference call as the combine beings in full steam on Thursday:

On The Draft’s Depth:

“From my perspective, this is the deepest and best draft class I’ve seen in probably 10 years. That’s been reinforced by most of the general managers and scouts that I’ve talked to throughout the league. I had one GM tell me the other day that having a top-20 pick this year, is very similar to having a top-10 pick last year. I think there’s more depth. There are certain positions that are stacked this year and you can get a quality player through three or four rounds.”

On Why Mayocks Thinks This Draft Is So Deep:

“It’s based on a couple of things. The playmakers at the top of this draft…it isn’t just a couple of guys. There’s three offensive tackles that could go in the top 10. There’s three quarterbacks that could go in the top 10. Then you’ve got guys like Khalil Mack that’s a different maker. (Anthony) Barr from UCLA. C.J. Mosley from Alabama. (Sammy) Watkins from Clemson is a tremendous player. So we are 10 or 11 players deep and we haven’t even talked about the safety from Louisville (Calvin Pryor) or the tight end from North Carolina (Eric Ebron) and I could go on and on. There’s more quality at the top end of this draft than I’ve seen in a long time. From a position standpoint, we talked about wide receiver. I think offensive tackle…you can go three and four rounds deep this year and get a starting offensive tackle. Those couple of positions and the quality up top…and I think there’s some pretty good corners three-to-four rounds deep. I’m really excited about this draft and that’s why.”

Lol Mayock? you mean the same guy who claimed to have spoken to many Gms who had Fredrick as a 3rd round pick at best? Mayock is not an expert. He is no different from Kiper and McShay. Every draft day we see just how wrong these guys are every yr. Then they come up with excuse after excuse and try to convince everybody that they went by what "GMs" said. Id actually take Broaddus word on a draft before his. Broaddus was a scout.

Put it better, the top QBs in this draft class wouldnt even be top 10 picks last yr. You have Bortles who is a top 15 pick by most and a 2nd rder by the rest. Manziel who is a RD1 pick but is considered a reach where he would go. And Bridewater who seems Gms dont even want. From reports of people like Mayock and Kiper. And then you expect me to believe they think a top 20 pick will be top 10 when a guy who could go overall 1 GMs dont like his mechanics? these guys contradict themselves more then Jerry

That was good...I was definitely late :)
