If it unfolds this way Dallas takes....

The correct answer was you trade a 1st, 2nd, and Martelleus Bennet to the Bengals for #2 and take Peterson.

Theres a ton of WR's and DL in this draft the Bengals can get at 8-12

We have holes everywhere and your idea is lose 3 players for 1 and spend more for that player than the other 3.

You sir are brilliant.

Cry about it. People said last year we shouldnt move up for Dez, Earl Thomas, or Mike Pouncey. They wanted to trade down and take Jared Odrick......brilliant

Yeah the Cowboys should think Quality > Quantity.

We need to do some damage in FA which would mean Jerry is going to have to open his wallet.

I'm hoping we end up with Peterson or Fairley because they are the two biggest difference makers.

Thats it. Youre thinking PP/Fairley Im more PP/Quinn.

Ive said it before and Ill probably say it again. We need to find our Dez on defense. A guy who can change the entire trajectory of a game on one play.

Why would they want Martellus? They just spent a first rounder on a TE, didn't they?

Peterson won't be the 2nd player off the board either, no one takes a DB that high.

Yeah.. The Dez Bryant pick should make people open their eyes to the thought that trading up isn't so bad when you get an impact player.

Since when is 1 TE enough? More! more! more!

You could make a similar deal w/ Denver. They traded Schefler and that TE they drafted out of NC hasnt done anything. Cincy offered a 1st for Martelleus so thats the deal I proposed. It made enough sense for both teams I thought no one would nit-pick :(

All I needed was a comparison with moving up a couple of picks in the 20's vs moving up to #2 and Catch 17 agreeing with you to know it was even more ridiculous than I thought.

Good grief.

Thankfully you arnt calling the shots here.

If Peterson and Amukamara are gone, we have to either trade down or take an OL.

Sucks that this draft isn't last years draft in terms of OL.

Lame. Say the same thing when Hos has a similar idea and Id care more about what you say

-Basically I think we have to jump Detroit

Hmm...I don't care if Hos would make that suggestion... I would think that is crazy.

Take a defensive playmaker. There are no blue chip/can't miss OL talent in this draft.

Reaching for a RT, or any OL in this draft would be disastrous. Trading down for more picks would be sheer stupidity. Take the Best Player Available.

or safety for that matter.

Earl Thomas would be huge for us, if he were available this year.

Who knows but I know the people who fully understand the prospects wouldnt be so quick to hate on a trade up.

This year is similar to last year where I thought we were in a weird no-man zone where we probably had to trade up or trade down.

Ill sign up for Peterson if it costs us Bennet and a 2nd. Thats a Revis caliber talent that you plug into a starting spot and he makes a difference day 1.

Or we can keep getting torched by Rex Grossman and Anthony Armstrong

The problem with that is Peterson can only cover 1 guy and we got torched by SMoss and CCooley (In the 4th Q) as well. Improving the pass rush will improve coverege as well as getting a better FS.

Also, we can't overlook the OL, so trading up is a mistake imo. As I've said before, quality corners are a dime a dozen. Peterson may be the best CB prospect to come out in a while, but you don't need a Revis or Woodson when the guys up front are doing there job and right now they aren't.

Im w/ you on that except I dont think quality corners are a dime a dozen.

One thing though is that Im not seeing a Logan Mankins in FA at safety. Having that ace in the hole helps alleviate some of my worries about the OL.
