Dorsey project's as a DT in a 4-3 scheme. He's too small to hold up as a 3-4 NT. Plus why mortgage your future for 1 player? Unless hes a :shoot6: elite QB, or DE prospect(i still wouldn't do it), hes not even close to being worth it. You can get a quality 3-4 NT in the later rounds if need be. Youre not A LSU alum, or a LA native are yea?

Instead of "flaming" you like the others who have just "piled on you" here, I will try to give a substantive reply to your post. If you view Dorsey as a franchise type of player (he may be) I could see the benefit of moving up to get him, and it probably makes more sense to move up and get him than McFadden to some degree, as I deem McFadden as a boom or bust pick.

I think the reasons against it are:

1. It costs too much to move up that far to acquire a position that isn't a glaring need.

2. Dorsey has injury concerns.

3. The Cowboys have other pressing needs that probably need to be addressed before DT.

I will submit that your thought process is not nearly as wacko as the posters who mock you think it is. I do do think it is highly unlikely to happen though.

my point is we could get by with the Wr's we have if we had to to get this guy, dorsey....i dont think it will happen like you do...but i think it should...as far as a runningback, we could get one in the 4th round or so that would work for us...I just think the reward would be so great that you couldnt pass it up...you other naysayers dont realize what it would do to our front 7, it would hide some of roy's deficiencies...it would hide any other deficiencies we had in the secondary...suddenly they would look great....it would give the offense better field position...suddenly our offense would even look better...even with the wr's we have...my point is....if you strengthen a part of your team that would be dominant on every play it controls the whole game....dorsey would do that....
