If Jason Garrett is a lame duck coach

So I've seen mention on here a few times about Jason Garrett being in a make or break year. If that is true and he is possibly going to lay an egg. Who are the next coordinators or available head coaches that would make sense?

I can't tell you who. But I can tell you I want a defensive coach that will keep a 4 man front and be aggressive in nature. I would also want to overhaul the offensive staff.

I'm hoping for a somewhat young but experienced coach that will experiment with different fronts, blitzes and can dare I say come up with something new.

this team will have to finish 2-14 with a healthy romo to even believe that the jones will fire garrett. there is no way a great young coach would want to come to dallas and be controlled by the jones.

I feel your OP, but it would really come down to what coordinators will take over for Linehan/Marinelli if JG lays an egg; the Jones' like their patsy, etc.

Is there any chance Josh McDaniel would come to Dallas? I do not think he would want it but stranger things have happened.

Would love him as an OC but doubt he would want JJ/SJ telling him what's what but like you said stranger things have happened, etc. But he's been my OC/HC of choice also since he blew the DEN gig; figured that had to bring that ego down a peg.

Dallas isn't a premier gig anymore. You are stuck with the Jones clan buying your groceries.

He would rock with this offensive personnel

Garret will be here for the next 5 seasons I think. Don't much care for him but he hasn't lost the team yet. Hope he can get Dallas so stop making so many damn mistakes. I really feel this can be a sb team not this season but the next 2 if they can add some players.

I do not think he is going anywhere in the near future. Jerry has proven he would rather lose with Garrett than hire a real coach and share the spotlight.

You have to look at picks like Jaylon Smith and think that the braintrust isn't planning on anybody going anywhere anytime soon.

I think Jason's probably safe while Tony's here--and a season after that--at the minimum. But then I also don't think the organization thinks its issues have been with the head coach in recent seasons, unlike a lot of the fans.

My only issue with him is he's costed Dallas a lot of games.

I know a lot of people think that. He's definitely made some mistakes in terms of game management. Though most of those were relatively early on in his career. The current group of coordinators is pretty senior, and they seem to be have a pretty good system down at this point.

I think that jerry and Stephen are pretty comfortable with where they are at with Jason so I don't think he is going any where regardless of there record I think he stays as long as tony is here pretty much

And do what? Bring the franchise down to its knees like he did in Denver?

This is the same person who pushed to draft Tim Tebow.

He is nothing but a Belichick toadie.

You can role with red and another 8-8 season or better yet 4-12 when the coaches continue to fail at player development. Can't be sure that he could help, but I would like to see a change in complete philosophy before I'm a grandfather. My daughters only 8 so I'm giving myself some leeway.
