If Jerry actually stepped aside, how much better would this team be?

This season is all on Jerry. He has always said he don’t own the cowboys he is just running with the ball. Clearly he fumbled, he is now finally getting his just desserts.

How much better would this team be in FA, Drafting, putting together a team, bringing less attention to us in the media, focusing on the actual aspect of football, player development, scouting, team building etc etc!! Please give your thoughts
Putting together a talented team hasn't been a problem. We usually have a very good roster. Coaching staffs and accountability along with the country club work ethic....that has been the problem. That would likely change without Jerry

If Jerry truly steps aside and let's Stephen run the team, I almost guarantee Stephen will hire a GM. He is way lazier than Jerry, not as bull headed or egotistical and he also sees the headaches Jerry deals with while trying to act like a coach and GM. Stephen will Hire a GM let the heat fall on that person sit back and count our money. We will be better off.

Yep, even if Stephen doesnt employ a GM straight off the bat, he'll get hounded by the media who dont have the ties to Stephen that they do to Jerry.

Assuming you meant "Stepped aside, and replaced with an REAL GM...the answer is much, much better"

But why torture us with this hypothetical?

Jerruh isn't stepping aside. And worse, he's teaching his son how to run the show like a dictator even if you have no clue what your doing He's passing along the ole "better completely fail, than win if winning means someone else gets credit" philosophy.....thus ensuring thus lunacy will go on and on...for decades.

You know what you get when you take Jerry Jones, and subtract the one thing he's really good at (oil business)...you get Stupid Stephen....our next dictator.

Culture change would go a long way. Letting the head coach be the face in the locker room picking his staff without having Jerrah meddling and talking to the media everyday would do wonders alone.

Depends on who he hires as GM. If he takes it seriously and hires a real football guy, coupled with this scouting team, we'd be legitimate contenders within 3 years. If he hires a puppet, we'd probably be worse.

You might be on to something there , one thing is for sure it would make stephen look a lot smarter wouldn't it.If he was to hire a real GM.

I don't know, but I would sure like to give it a try.
We currently have no hope.
Last 28 years proves that.
