If Jerry Jones Is One of the Most Powerful and Respected Owners

He's no different than any other wealthy white dude out there. No one cares about what he does in his spare time. Hell the Colts owner is a crackhead.
I disagree. Yeah, Irsay is a crack head but most owners are not like "any other wealthy white dude" and the fact that you try to justify it by saying that is disturbing.

I can give you perspective living in an NFL city that is not Dallas, and I can say with 100% certainty that JJ is considered the laughing stock of the NFL around here deserved or not deserved. Does that hold true everywhere? That I do not know.
I think most people realize what he is but some fans choose to ignore his antics as long as he puts a good product on the field, which he also has a hard time doing.

Personally, I love the Cowboys but I will not miss him when he's gone. Yeah, the Cowboys are popular and he makes a lot of money but this team could have been so much more (as far as wins go) without him. He has single handily ruined the Cowboys chances of winning for the past 20 years.

Now I have to admit...I really did laugh out loud!!

Just curious, why are @BlueStar22's comments disturbing to you?

Why do we continue to bend over and take all this junk year after year in this league? It never stops. And it's not just yesterday's game. It's not even just on the field.

Remember when we got penalized for manipulating the salary cap? Which was b.s. How about dragging Zeke's name through the mud and dragging their feet in this process? When it's already came out she was lying and trying to set him up.

How they handled this Gregory situation. Allowing him to come back for a few games and then suspend him right before the playoffs.

2014, Suh was suspended but they overturned it. You think they'd ever do that for us? Please.

And every year, it's some new call against us. Dez's catch and now some call that has not been called since the year I was born (1984). And when GB did it earlier and it happens every week but it's just not something called. And even at that, it was not the correct call as he wasn't in the huddle. Defender allowed to bring down Witten near the endzone with no call. But if we grab at all, it's called right away. OL allowed on the last play of the game to tackle Irving and not even trying to hide it.

Obviously...Jerry doesn't know how to cheat properly. Deflategate....still keep super bowl. Roethlisberger gets away with rape. Clay Mathew's dirty play/steroid cover up...I could go on....but the point is....Jerry really needs to drop the hammer...instead of taking it in the rear.

Jerry is an independent. He's not in the Northeast Rotary Club consisting of Goodell, Blandino, Mara, Rooney and Kraft.

As long as the NFL makes money, they'll have no proven being petty towards the redneck outsider.
This.

A lot of it has to do with regional bias.

Also I don't think the NFL fears Jerry or his family.

Because I think saying Jerry's actions are just like that of "every wealthy white dude" isn't accurate and is very stereotypical. Not to mention it seems as if he's justifying Jerry's behavior because he thinks that's the norm for "wealthy white dudes".

I may be in the minority here but I don't condone a lot of Jerry's actions in his personal life and as an owner. As much as I love the Cowboys, he makes it very tough to support the team and I peronsally know quite a few people that agree with me and some that even lost their passion for the Cowboys due to him.

Is it stereotypical? Yes. Does he present a good argument? Absolutely. What he is saying has a lot of truth to it. Oh, and I don't think he is trying to condone Jerry's behavior, but just saying from his experience, that's the way the world works, good or bad, fair or unfair. At least thats my interpretation. Of course, he can speak for himself.

The perfect example of this is y'all's President-Elect. He's ascended to the highest office despite being guilty of some quite disturbing behavior. Whereas, the outgoing guy had to be perfect to even ascend to that office. That's my point. It's your choice whether to condone his actions or not. I will choose not to be that judgemental. What I said, I meant. No one cares. Which part upset you the most, "white" or "wealthy". I doubt it was the latter. If we being real, it's not sterotypical, it's pretty much fact. Again, see my first example.

I can't disagree with a thing the OP posted.

I hate to say this, because I've always been very passionate about football, but I'm finding it hard to watch the NFL anymore. Whether people want to admit it or not, this franchise is nit-picked by refs and the NFL and if that's not obvious, you're not paying attention. The only thing consistent anymore is how we get screwed. Other owners would be having fits. Jerry just bends over and asks for more. It's disheartening. I probably won't watch any more football this year and I really can't say I'm looking forward to next year either. I'm tired of reading this book every year expecting a different ending.....

By definition, @aria is right, it is stereotypical, but I do think there is a lot of truth in your comments.

Lol, ok dude, whatever. You say you choose "not to be that judgemental" but you assume the actions of one "wealthy white dude" are the same for all wealthy white men. You're a hypocrite. Say and think what you want, it's people and thoughts like you that create a lot of problems in todays society. Anyways, I'm done, say all you want but I hope you don't continue to judge people by what they wear, their color, financial status, tattoos, etc.

First of all, I don't think there is a lot of truth to it. I know plenty of wealthy people of all races and genders and none of them share the same characteristics of Jerry. I'm not saying "wealthy white dudes" like Jerry don't exist but to lump them all into the same category based on his actions is wrong.

Second of all, you're assuming he makes these broad generalizations based on his experience. If I made all my judgements about people based on their color or financial status I wouldn't have many friends and I would consider myself a narrow, simple minded loser because I would not be judging the person for who they are rather than what they are.

Carry on though, this is getting way off topic and we can agree to disagree.

Next year we'll be so good there's nothing they'll be able to do to stop us.

Combine that with television ratings that will be off the charts and suddenly they'll all be kissing Jerry's hindquarters

I'm thinking about dropping Sunday Ticket for the first time since its Inception because we'll be on primetime or the featured game every week next year LOL

I still don't think you get his point. Also, life experiences shape our view of the world. But yeah, lets carry on.

Super Bowl is coming soon.....and Jerry's hands will be a part of it. He is a bar setter. Haters should get over it. Got no problems with a man spending his money and having his hand in the pie. Be unconventional. Forget the establishment.

We are close....real close. This season showed unsurprising promise.....now let's see how it's built on. The return of the 90's is coming.

Wouldn't hesitate to be JJ's lens cleaner.

R-E-L-A-X....oops....that's what ARod says.
