I stand corrected. Has this practice been done previously for re-acquiring tickets already purchased by opposing fans?

I don’t know how you would know if they are opposing fans or that you could buy them if they didn’t want to sell them. The cowboys have fans from everywhere so just because they come from another state doesn’t mean much

There was a time at Texas Stadium when local TV stations would buy up the remaining tickets to avoid local blackouts and give away the tickets.

That was once very common and may still happen in some cities
