If Jonathan Mingo makes the 53-man roster

If Mingo makes the team it'll be because Jerry can't quit his pet projects.

Fourth year in the league and he's never done a thing. Except I guess now one preseason special teams tackle.
Don't forget Mingo's TD. Dismiss the man fairly.

We need to look at him compared to the bottom few wrs. He can't help where he was drafted or what he was traded for. He's probably the 5th best wr. Making hustle plays on teams is what you want from wr5. I see turp as wr6.

"He does, however, have access to good initial burst and wins when contested at an elite rate. Brown displays ideal ball skills and body control on fades and deep throws."

I thought Brown's first TD should have been DPI but his catch definitely lived up to his draft profile.

Brown definitely has some good traits, but at present he's a poor route runner w/ below average top end speed.

I never want to see Turpin take the field at WR ever again. EVER.

He has 4.4 speed, a huge catch radius, and is built like Dez.

They need to use him.

He’s also cheap.

Too early. But I will say they have a few guys who are all about the same talent-wise. It is going to be a tough cut. Considering we're talking about a 4th or 5th WR, I don't think the decision is critical.

I don't like giving Turpin a WR spot. He is basically a good return guy and a so-so WR.

Turpin brings a different level of speed in his returns. As he did fight through some nagging minor injuries last year.
But has he really been the return guy like we want. He flashes, but that is it.

I do not Csre for him as a WR. He had 2 fumbles last year as well. I think another WR can do what he does on offense.
I think they could find a return guy as well.

I actually would not mind them trading him. But can't see them out right cutting him. They still like him that much.
As soon as he started getting snaps at WR, his return game depleted.

These were basic plays every WR should make. As for how he eventually chased down the long punt return, yeah, that matters but how much? And if this makes me sound a little bit biased against Mingo, it's because I am. I was opposed to the trade for him in the first place, opposed to keeping him after the 24 season when he caught something like 28% of his targets, and I'm opposed to him making this team if it means exposing another player with a higher ceiling to the waiver wire.

The things about a 5th receiver is they're almost never active on game day.

Valdez-Scatling is gone. Mingo probably is, too, unless....is Turpin safe?
Turpin must have pictures of Jerry. I think his position should be challenged.

I love Turpin as a returner, but the jet sweep no longer works, and he's hard to get the ball to in coverage.

If they have another decent returner.....?

But I definitely keep Turpin over Mingo and Valdez-Scantling.
