1st off I would want someone who McCarthy trusted but also would not be surprised to see Mike take over play calling duties. When it comes to the coaching staff in my view that has to be the coaching decision

Doesn't Sean Peyton call his own plays??

- Payton had OC Pete Carmichael call the X's and O's plays,.. but it was Sean's offense. It went thru him

- Ditto with Andy Reid in KC, with those like Matt Nagy and Eric B. calling X's and O's

- Ironically Joe Philibin was the longtime OC under McCarthy in GB, instead of OL coach, but it was generally considered McCarthy's offense.

Unless someone is silly enough to promote him, he's not going anywhere. Jerry is going to continue to think Boy Wonder is the greatest ever while he learns on the job just like his predecessor did.

Cooper Rush.

He's a Jerry guy. He's been talked about as being very football smart. He'll come cheap. He ticks all the boxes.

The only question is, does he do one season as QB coach first, or does he move right into the OC position.

I guarantee Jerry falls asleep at night dreaming of winning a SB with Moore as HC and Rush as OC. I can picture him screaming out, in a dead sleep, "I did it my way Baby!!!"
