Looking at Moore career as OC starting 2019 this offense has ranked 1st in 2019, 14th in 2020 (Dak out for the season) 1st in 2021 and 8th in 2022. All in all Moore has done a very good job compared to his peers. Personally, I think he takes a lot of crap unjustly. Easy to 2nd guess but OC are judge by the production of their unit and Cowboys offense has produced for the most part.

he is growing up. he is learning. he needs to continue to minimize his mistakes at crucial times of games and be smart about pulling out wins instead of trying to push in the dagger at the wrong time. against Jags, he went with the dagger, with less than 1.5 minutes left, running 3 WRs deep trying to surprise their defense....instead of running a simple play, our just running the ball forcing the defense to use a timeout.... last year he did similarly against tampa.

against Philly, he learned and he ran the ball forcing the defense to use two timeouts.....

his route combinations are sometimes really good, but then he has a brain faart and reminds me of Garrett....he tends to be streaky and sometimes trying to outsmart himself.

1st off I would want someone who McCarthy trusted but also would not be surprised to see Mike take over play calling duties. When it comes to the coaching staff in my view that has to be the coaching decision

Yes let big mike do it for me.

good take. Using an alternating running back attack a good improvement

Lot more to judging an OC than counting yards.

Brian Schottenheimer. Hes working with the Cowboys already, was OC for some of the best offensive teams Seattle had, and have to believe he has a huge influence on the Cowboys run game this year. I think he may end up a dark horse HC candidate for Denver though.

Keep in mind, MM only has two more years on his deal. The standard contract for OC is generally three years. It's also a job Jerry and Stephen will likely have strong input ....coz of their investment in Dak. It's next to impossible to give a name but I personally think this could be his last year regardless of what happens post-season. Major decision on an extension for Dak coming up. Have we seen his ceiling? Can he take his game to another level under a different OC and/or scheme? These are fair questions considering any restructuring of his deal will likely cost $46-50M.

As for OP's question....it would not surprise me to see the job split between and running and passing coordinator with MM calling plays.

Nussmeier becomes the OC and McCarthy takes on a larger role with the offense.
Unless someone is silly enough to promote him, he's not going anywhere. Jerry is going to continue to think Boy Wonder is the greatest ever while he learns on the job just like his predecessor did.

KM could be in line for the Arizona job. It’s fits his style. I for one don’t care if he does leave….DAK needs a new OC to balance out his experience.

If KM does leave. It will be Brian Shottenheimer he is already on the staff and works closely with DAK and KM

Completely agree. If MM is here next year let him call plays... that was his strength in SF and NO.

Cooper Rush.

He's a Jerry guy. He's been talked about as being very football smart. He'll come cheap. He ticks all the boxes.

The only question is, does he do one season as QB coach first, or does he move right into the OC position.

I guarantee Jerry falls asleep at night dreaming of winning a SB with Moore as HC and Rush as OC. I can picture him screaming out, in a dead sleep, "I did it my way Baby!!!"
.....then there is an "OC in Training Program".......but how would Cooper bypass the QB Coach position that Air Coryell Jr went through?
He ticks all the boxes????........what boxes would be intriquing? Hmmm!!
