If last night was no fluke, we are probably 6th best team

We might have some of the same problems we have always had, but offensive line isn't one of them. Berny is quality depth as is Parnell. It would be a step down if we lost one of our starters (probably a lot less of step down in Free's case) but that would be the same situation for every team in the NFL. Our depth at this point is most likely superior to most teams in the NFL even on the bench. Bery would probably start for a lot of teams in the NFL right now..... and you could make the same case for Parnell.

Don't agree and unfortunately, I think it will bare out as the season goes on. At some point, we will likely sustain injuries in our OL. When that happens, our play will suffer.

IMO, if you beat crappy teams all year, but lose to good teams, then your real ranking as a football team will show come playoff time.

Isn't this is how the pundits rank teams too...except us, we are just an afterthought...let's keep it that way, be the underdogs...:D

Honest opinion, no BS. We are not good enough yet. We don't have the depth to sustain a run IMO. We are improved and if we could depend on going with starters the entire season, then we could be a playoff team and even make some noise, perhaps, but that's not how the NFL works.

The good news is that we are on track and it looks as if we finally understand who and what we want to be in the NFL. We still have a 34 year old QB coming off serious injury in two consecutive seasons. We still can't cover TEs. We still don't have a pass rusher that can threaten the pocket on any given play. We still are paper think at LB, CB and OT. We have no proven WR who can replace Dez as a threat if we lose him and lets face it, Dez gets nicked up.

We still have an Owner/GM and a Head Coach who would rather throw it up 50 times a game rather then win on the ground and it's hard to say what will happen when we eventually meet a team that can stop the run.

I don't say any of this to put a downer on any positive feelings about the Cowboys. Heck, I think fans have a lot to be optimistic about here. All I'm saying is that we are improved, but we are not their yet IMO. We are going to lose some ball games but it's not the end of the world. There is some serious light at the end of this tunnel and I think that everybody in the NFL is figuring out that it may be wise to not be standing at the entrance of that tunnel once we come to the light because it's very possible that what comes out of that tunnel is a runaway freight train and you don't want to be flat footed waiting for the impact.

The Cowboys are not better than the Bengals. The Bengals might be the best team in football right now. Their defense is for real.

The Giants are not very good, and shouldn't be in the top 10, imo. The Eagles are the team to beat in the East. The Eagles have only lost to the 49ers, and it was on the road, and it was close.

Eagles have not impressed me at all. If it wasn't for the Colts and Skins wetting the bed, they would be 1-3. They even had to struggle to beat the Jaguars. I would be more fearful right now of the Giants. Foles does not scare me at all. But Eli has been known to get in a groove and go off. And he plays very well against us. We shut down Philly's offense both times last year.

This offense can hang with anyone if Linehan calls the games like he did last night. The question will be if the defense can keep playing at this level.

I don't know if the team is real yet or not as far as consistency is concerned, but the win was definitely is a step in the right direction, and one that should build confidence.

What I did witness yesterday seemed to be something bolder in attitude. Even Garrett added red to his face.

I still think this is an 8-8 club. New Orleans might not be who we thought they were, at 1-3. Over the last few years, this team has beaten up bad teams quite easily.

Way too soon to tell. But for my part, anybody see the Cardinals play yet this season? The scores haven't been all that impressive, but they look pretty dang good.

I agree. With the Cards and Bengals, if their QBs don't turn the ball over...they are two really really tough teams.
Tougher than most.

I have and I agree with you. They are a very underrated team, plus they will have Palmer back and Ellington with a week off to rest that foot.
