If Marques Colston Were A Cowboy, You'd Want Him Cut

No it wasn't. If he simply stepped out of bounds, they had one final play. You can call a hail mary and give Jimmy Graham and Colston a chance. The ball would have been on the 38. Clearly not the best circumstances, but not awful either.

Yeah it was.

Colston and graham didn't show up for the game. When they appeared they would shy away from a potential hit.

Whether someone here would want him cut for a bone headed play matters because....

Why do so many people worry about what our fans would say about other teams owners, GMs, Coaches or players instead of worrying about their own team owner, GM, Coaches and players?

You do realize that was drawn up by Payton, right? He was just following the play call from his coach. No player would do that on his own.

Payton has a huge ego and wants the label as being a genius. See the onside kick to start the 2nd half of the Super Bowl. This is nothing new for him. He tried to catch Seattle napping on the play and hit them with a across the field pass ala the Music City Miracle. Escept Colston threw the ball about 8 yards forward.

Well, I keep hearing how they have God's Gift to Quarterbacking, so I would assume a 38-yard TD is easy breezy (no pun intended) for him.

Jimmy said on his A FOOTBALL LIFE that he had different standards for different players. I don't remember who but he cut a guy for sleeping in a film session & he admitted he would never consider that with a star player of course.

Life isn't always fair in the NFL. ;)
