...he will be back on pace for 2000 yards in a single season. He could become only the 8th player to ever do it.

To get back on pace to break Dickerson's record, he would need 226 yards. Not impossible, but not probable.

If he did it, I wonder if Bennie Logan could admit our OL is pretty good?

Murray could get 200 today. Take advantage of an over aggressive Eagles D.

Bennie Logan won't know what wall he ran into after today.

I hope he has a big game. He has had a bunch of really good games, but none of those jaw dropping performances that would endear him in the eyes of fans. Today would be the perfect day for it

I do not see murray breaking 2000. he does have a great chance to pass emmitt smith as the single season rushing mark is that right.

Emmitt's Cowboys single season record is 1773. Murray is 420 yards from breaking that record and has 5 games to do it.

Would be sweet especially on top of the win...

I agree.

And, honestly, I don't care if he does. I care about running well, but not individual achievements. So if the Cowboys rush for another 800 yards this year, if it's 500 Murray/300 backups or all 800 Murray, it doesn't matter to me.

I don't care if he breaks 2000 yards. I just want to win. 140 yards on the ground should be a great way to keep the Iggles and Dirty Sanchez off the field.

Part of me hopes he does not break Smiths record.
I do...very tired of a specific smart *** at work saying " Due to Cowboys fans always talking about past teams...the rest of the Cowboys games this year will be on the History Channel".

Time to make some new records...BTW I love Emmitt too.. It's just time.

I think Emmitt would be the 1st to say he hopes Murray can break his record. It's a big accomplishment, and well deserved if, or I should say, when he does.
Emmitt will be the 1st to congratulate him.

I'd love to see them run it down their throats and make Bennie eat his words.

Murray already broke Emmitt and Dorsett rookie rushing game record with 253 yards

I also think the more yards he gets the less likely he comes back as a Cowboy. We won't be able to afford him and Dez

you have two kinds of players.. those that want payed (I don't blame them at all) and those that also want to play on a good team and have a chance to win..Lets hope Murray considers all things and the Cowboys as well.

I would prefer to see Randle and/or Dunbar start having some success and cutting into Murray's carries. It would be good to know what to expect from them if the Cowboys can't re-sign Murray after the season.

Emmitt Smith had 25 rushing touchdowns that season.

I'm not even sure DeMarco Murray will eclipse 10 rushing touchdowns this season.

The lack of rushing touchdowns is an issue.

As impressive as the ground game has been this season, the team only has 8 rushing touchdowns (Murray has 7 of them), which is tied for 13th in the NFL.

That's not good enough.

IN todays NFL what he's doing no is enough amazing. Teams just dont run the ball like the Cowboys are every week. IMO Murray is good, but he's not getting touched most of the time until hes about 6-8 yrds down the field. The OL is the real story. Jerry said it best, they give Randle the ball 20 times and he's over 100 yrds a game too with this OL.

Great point. They started off strong but it's disappeared lately.
