If No QB taken in the first do we bother later

We aren't going to draft our backup QB this year for 2016. Even if you draft a QB at #4 and Romo is injured for a few games, you have to have a veteran backup QB who can win games....period.

If they couldn't find a veteran that could win games last year (and the year before that) then why do you think they'll find one next year?

If we don't take a QB in the first round we will bother to take one later?

And by taking one later, I mean with the idea of one later being viewed as successor to Romo vs just a Backup QB?

Maybe it is just me but I don't think they bother taking a QB till the later rounds IF they do not take one at 4. And if that is the case I don't think they will view that later round QB as a project that will take over for Romo down the road as much as they view them as a backup QB project.

Of course this is all speculation on my part.

I would not be shocked at all if they do not take a QB at 4...if they don't take a QB at all.

I say no and I don't think we should either.

It would appear we will have several picks in the 6th, so if there is a QB with the physical skills I'd take a flyer.

The odds of him ending up as a top 10 QB are lottery like, but just like the lottery you can't win if you don't buy a ticket.
