I’ll take him if he falls into our lap. I’m not giving up a day 2 pick to go get a RB

You folks are willing to count on Pollard? He broke his leg. How long did it take for Dak to fully return from a similar injury? How about twice Gallup has injured a leg and it takes him two seasons to get back to norm. And I assume he will be back to norm this season.

This ridiculous don't take a RB in the first is just that. Ridiculous.

First off, you have the guy for five years if you opt for the last year. He is still on a rookie contract.

Second, this team needs balance on offense. I cannot stress this enough that what you saw at the end of the season was strictly due to an inequity in Offense and Defense.
Regardless of your position on Dak, the hand has to be played. There is no dumping him without starting the rebuild immediately. Everything that has gotten this team two straight seasons of 12 wins each would be tossed on the funeral pyre.

Dak needs a better offensive line to compete. When he stays upright he can be very effective. This means you need a solid running game and passing game without protection issues and lanes opened.

I don't believe Robinson will get to 20. But if he did, I would seriously need to think on the cost versus return.

One more point about Robinson. This guy isn't Zeke mentally. Because of the NIL rules, he has started businesses which yield him almost 1.6 million a year.
Bijon's Mustard is one of the companies. This is not a guy who wears a half shirt with a suit, or has an issue (and I believe he was innocent) which causes the league to sit him down with no evidence for six games. This is a focused young man.

However saying this, I suspect Jerry will draft some JAG and think Malik Davis will be good enough with a wounded Pollard. Because Jethro and Little Anus can't seem to focus on both sides of the ball when building a team in the same year.

And with that attitude they display, this will end up more of the same we have seen for going on 30 years.
What if he holds out after his 3rd year like Zeke?

I wouldn't trade up for a 1st round RB with a life expectancy of 5 years max. Jerry on the other hand ??? I think if he is BPA when you draft, take him.
Now that the NFL has pretty much gone to a RB by committee approach, I think you won’t see that anymore. They won’t be averaging 23-24 attempts per game, more like 70% of that. The ones with elite receiving skills, Bijan being an example, will add more value.

He is still obligated to this team.

The only reason Zeke did that was Dak's contract coming up. You can play what if all day long about every player.

But the truth is this team needs to fix things on the offensive side of the ball. Cooks is not enough. And a running game not dependent on a player who broke his leg in the second quarter of the last game is a step forward. The OL needs serious consideration as does the running game.

The hated Eagles seemed to have stumbled on to the key to a team that can go to the dance. A balanced offense and a tough defense.

I fear the Jones boys will ignore what caused the failure from last year. An OL that was eroding, and the mix match idea stunk on ice, and a passing game that was sub par. They may have fixed the passing game, but the line and running game now are an issue.

Depends….we HAVE to have another RB and preferably a heavy hauler. I wouldn’t give up a second or third but I’d def be watching and asking if he’s not gone by pick 20.

What if your scouting department thought he was the next Emmitt/Barry type player? Because that may be the case. Or would you not take Emmitt/Barry in the first round in today’s NFL?

Not sure it matters. Just saw a stat recently comparing Zeke to Terrell Davis and he’s basically already passed him in most stats.

Zeke was an elite, blue chip prospect. And it didn’t get us over the hump.
