Seattle would have to agree to let him go. Doubt that they will and he couldn't go anywhere as long as Seattle keeps playing (which may be for another month).

Only been a position coach for what 3 or 4 years. Who will be his position coaches? I don't think he has been coaching long and enough to now start calling plays.

norton started coaching in 2004.

garrett started coaching in 2005.

Another guy Jerry will want to train and mold, no thanks. If we lose our defensive guys, they have to hire someone who has been a DC before. I don't want to see a team full of non-experienced coaches from offense to the defense.

Dunno if he is DC material but Kevin Greene has some that swagger.

Norton didn't start coaching in in the nfl until 2010. He wasn't even a DC in college.

I don't see a 1st time DC coming here right now. Maybe next year under a new HC but not this year.

I have an idea for the vacancy at defensive coordinator (assuming Kiffin leaves.) I want someone with swagger. Someone with attitude. I want current Seattle Linebacker coach Ken Norton Jr.

Thoughts?

I'd love to see him come back to Big D. But over Leslie Frazier?

Jerry already has one "trainee". He doesn't need another.

this is what i wanted for awhile but switching back to the 3-4 after only one year would be beyond psycotic behavior.

not really, besides trading Lissimore, what move did we make on defense when we switched? We cut Spears, but who's to say we wouldn't have anyway?

garrett was qb coach for 2 years before becoming OC here in '07. granted jerry has had his eye on garrett long before that, it's just an example of someone with little experience getting an opportunity here.

Yes at that time we were changing head coachs. I said in my post I don't think it would happen this year but maybe next year under a new HC

I don't think any notable DC will come in without a deal that goes beyond 2014. This leads me to believe a promotion will be internal. We could also just keep Kiffin and if things don't pan out, they'll just clean up the entire staff.
