If romo is "questionable" would you play him?

It's not just a bruise. You don't start pissing blood if all it is is a simple bruise.

Bruised "Kidney" will make you piss blood. Bruised "kidney" does not necessarily actually mean a kidney that is bruised it could be the area near the kidney

About whether he should play or not. Well... I would say that if he's going to be ducking, looking at the blitz instead of the routes, scared and nervous in the pocket because his back is tender and he's afraid to get hit, it's just not smart to put him in.

I wouldnt if he is not 100%. We saw what happened at SF when he wasnt at full capacity. Rather have him come back healthy for the stretch run and the playoffs. Other players just need to step up and get us to the bye.

If we get the Romo that we got in the 49ers game, sit him.

the sf game had nothing to do with inuury. it was more about being rusty. he played very little in pre season and you just can't get sharp at qb in the nfl without playing

I think it was more then that. Romo could not make the throws and it was pretty evident, in that game. After that game, the team went to a Wed., no practice schedule for Tony. Instead, Tony started using Wed. as a strength/conditioning day for his lower body, according to reports.

If you're not risking further injury, then you play the better player if he can tolerate the discomfort.

I think this is key.

At this point in his career, I don't believe a 50 or 60% Romo is better than a 100% Weeden.

We won the 93 NFC championship game with Troy's backup. We relied on the running game and a couple of key throws from Bernie.

Backups are there for a reason. I know Romo is important, but this team acts like we have no chance without Romo. I disagree with that approach.

If Romo is medically cleared he will start. If he isn't he won't. Romo has done enough in the league to play if he's medically cleared and thinks he can play.

Why did Romo go back in on Sunday? Because he was medically cleared and the coaching staff saw he was able to throw the ball well on the sidelines.

Listening to Romo, the only questions concerning his playing status Sunday is pain tolerance and whether or not he can function properly.

There is no physical risk involved in his playing; it's about how effective he can be while hurting like hell.

If he's anything near what he was AFTER returning from the injury Monday night, no question I'd sit him. While medically "cleared", he was a complete shell of himself and not able to function physically and mentally. Also recall the SF game Week 1, I believe he was so much mentally consumed with how to deal with his physical limitations and perhaps pain, his ability to perform suffered significantly.

Romo's tough, we know and respect that. He will gut it out if it's up to him. Sometimes it's best for someone to step in and make the decision for him.

So to answer the question, I would have to know how limited he is due to pain and stiffness. No one outside of Valley Ranch will really know that until 100 Sunday.

Need to do what gives the Cowboys the best chance to win....is 60% Romo better than a 100% Weeden or does it hurt the team.....guess we will find out.

I would let Weeden play he next two games. Play it safe and smart. Give Romo some rest. And the Cards won't really have any video of Weeden to look at. So, the Cards won't know what they are going to get. I would also think the Cards will Blitz early and if it works continue to blitz often. So, the key will be to make them pay early for the blitz.

He's 50/50. We got an NFC powerhouse that I predicted would win their division before the season started. Who blitz 46% of the time and have banged romo around before.

A loss drops us to 6-3 with two against Philly, and @ nyg and @ wsh. And the colts. This is tough.

I wouldn't have put him back in Monday. It would be tough to keep him out if he is able to play.

Given Romos injury and struggles against the blitz, it wouldn't bother me to see Weeden step in this week so Romo isn't exposed to Az blitzing D. I'd like to see how the team responds to playing without Romo. If they could win the next two with Romo out, I can't help it would bode well for them in the long run. If Weeden had to play more than 2 games, then I think they'd probably be in trouble

I don't want to see a replay of the SF 49ers games....ROMO was not ready to play in that game and it showed. Best move is to let ROMO get healthy....keep him healthy for the division games and the playoffs... if necessary let ROMO sit for the AZ and JAC games....have him ready for the Giants and Eagles.....there is $100mil invested in this guy.....and one more hit could be retirement. One more hit and it could Weeden permanently.

This is what Tony said in a interview:

Romo and head coach Jason Garrett have skirted questions about what was found, but no one is still calling it a contusion.
I don’t want to get into specifics about what it is,’’ Romo said. “It will be something you’ll look at each day, figure out a way to manage it and go from there.

“It has nothing to do with back surgery or anything like that. It could have happened years ago and it would have been the same thing. It’s part of playing football.’’

What is he describing?

This is a really bad matchup for Dallas this week. Cardinals are very strong against the run, great speed to cover outside with their safety, the very best in man cover corners. if Dallas can win this game it would be very, very impressive. I would love to see them come out determined to win with a nasty run game. straight up take it to them. my gut tells me the throws will be minimal this week no matter who is quarterback. I also wonder if it wouldnt be a sneaky idea to somehow bring up Williams to not only spell Demarco, but to use his being cut by Arizona as motivation. dude would probably go ham if given the chance
