If Shanahan Is Fired In DC, Does Jerry Bring Him Here?

Chaos is reigning in Foreskin Territory. RG3-8 is insecure and everything's a mess. Danny boy loves RGFraud. If it comes down to RG or Shanahan, the HC will be the odd man out.

If the Ginger Clapper fails to win the division and Shanny is available would Jerry make the move? You can hear Jerry talking up Shanahan as a Super Bowl winning coach that got Elway over the hump. He would envision Shanahan doing that with Romo. You can hear the sales pitch already.

Would Jerry do it?

Doubt it. Shanahan looks burnt out. He'll probably retire.

When we get a new HC, I want it to be someone fresh and new to the league.

Apart from last year he hasn't done much. I don't think he's a sexy enough choice for Jerry. I also think JG is back.

I know you weren't talking to me, and i certainly understand why you feel that way... but I think he's a damn good coach who has a franchise that sunk everything into a QB that is killing the team. They have 3 #1's and a #2 invested in RG3-and-out, and he is playing absolutely horrible. It is very hard to win when your QB can't hardly complete a pass. And it won't get easier when another team is getting all of your high number 1 picks that Griffin is helping them earn.

Last year, it was Shanahan's coaching (and a string of good luck) that got them into the playoffs. It was brilliant running that offense with Griffin. Teams weren't prepared for it and Griffin didn't have to read defenses. Just smoke screens, runs to Morris, Griffin keeping the ball or throw to a wide open WR.

Teams were so scared about Morris or Griffin running they had to way over-commit to stop it. So when it actually was a pass, then Griffin usually had one read and it typically was wide open. If it wasn't, then he just pulled it down and scrambled for yards. Simple and effective when teams hadn't prepared much for it. It worked damn well when Morris and Griffin were running so well..

Now, defenses are ready for it, and the run lanes aren't there... and Griffin is having to actually play QB. He has real trouble reading defenses past his first option and his accuracy has never been good (contrary to what everyone was saying last season), so he simply isn't completing many passes. (and yes, last year I was saying RG3 was winning because teams weren't ready for that offense, that his accuracy was over rated, and that the only thing good about him was his running ability.)

It is very difficult for Shanahan to win many games when your QB isn't accurate, can't really read the defense, and your defense can't stop anyone.

Thats a good description of whats happening. RGFraud is in real trouble if his first read isnt open.

Where are all the Griffin supporters anyway? It wasn't just the Commanders fans, half our fan base was spit shining his shoes last year while he operated in a paint by numbers offense.

He's a Fraud. With a capital F.

A lot of our fan base here in the Twilight Zone tends to fall in love with QB's that play for our division rivals.

I don't support him, even though I am a Baylor alum, but I believe he is the real deal. I think he is having a bad sophomore year, just like Newton. He will be better next year.

Shanahan and his son have pretty dang good offensive minds. I don't see them offering a job to either although I wouldn't mind his son here as OC. I think there are better options and it's possible Garrett is better. I'd say they are more flexible with their offense which I believe is easier to run (assuming they can run the ball). I think if Garrett can call plays better, have a decent OL and have all our weapons working on the field at the same time it can be more dangerous. I think it's just harder to run. Garrett isn't going to live under the same roof with the dad and I doubt the son. His son can find a job if it comes apart there. I hope they fire them as it will just weaken them more.

Shanahan won 11 games his first 2 seasons in Washington and was 3-6 before the bye last year then won 5 straight now he's back to 3-8 and have already had their bye. LOL He always looks like he's watching a car about to hit a moped.

Romo is much more of the type od QB Shanahan would like to work with. RG3 and Shanahan have always been oil and water. Griffin simply is not strong in running the type of offense he likes to run. Word is that he wanted tannahill over Griffin.

I think Shanahan and Romo would be a good fit. And our running game would get better.
