TG has obviously been a topic talked about in great depth up until last week, but shouldn't we be talking about him more so than now. Isn't he unable to play for the Cowboys because his knee is torn up? Well look at Shawn Merriman and Ed Reed, both have significant injuries, are obviously significant players but also have significant futures. Nonetheless, are willing to continue to play or at least train to get on the field as is. Merriman and Reed are both obviously in football shape too.
So why not Terry Glenn? He wanted to play apparently, his knee was at least 50/50, was even willing to sign a split contract twice only to eventually be turned down twice by Jerry. At that point we had Austin and Hurd, so yes the we have young talent that needs to progress argument was justified, but how about now? What is the argument about TG? We won't have to give up players from our roster, nore draft picks. He's gotto be more familiar with the offense than anyone we could trade for at this point. He's willing to play for peanuts if he gets injured again. Jerry Jones nor Sporano from Miami never said his Knee was so bad that he was capable of playing, Jerry sounded like it was for progression and he wasnt in the greatest shape and Sporano basically said TG was just not in football shape.
When Jerry was asked last if he would call on TG, he didn't say yes or no, period. They played him in the playoffs last year against the G-Ants. Jerry was raving about him earlier in camp and refused to draft any WR's because of TG and the other young WR's. In my opinion TG is not playing right now because he is not in football shape, but racketball shape, which is his own fault and probably doesn't seem to hungry. That's why he isn't playing for the Dolphins or Cowboys. Jerry is going to check up on him unless he does trade for a WR. If TG is in shape and is mentally ready, Jerry will have him playing. If Merriman can play with his issues and Reed willfind a way to play with his and who know's who else is playing with these significant injuries, believe me, Terry Glenn's injury isn't what's only holding him back from being on this team. It's not progression either now, so isn't it as a good a time to talk about TG now than ever?
