If Shedeur Sanders is there in the 6th, draft him.

I wouldn’t move up but I would grab him in the 5th. There will be no one there with more upside. Dallas might hit lightning in a bottle or he fizzles out in camp and released, it is worth the gamble.

The circus might be minimal since he won’t be starting and happy just to get drafted. It could humble him and his father and they take a step back, who knows. I think if he works hard, he can easily beat out Milton for #2.

You miss every shot you don’t take

I'd give him a number, then retire it now. He doesn't even have to play. It won't be long before he gets that gold jacket.

If he's there when we pick next we need to pick him.
He has fallen this far not because of talent but because no one wants to deal with the circus.

We have the man that can deal with the circus on our team the original carnival Barker Jerry Jones.
This has Jerry Jones written all over it the marketing the hype with a late round draft pick it's a win-win get it done Jerry
I totally agree. If he's there when we pick, take him. I doubt he'll be there though.
Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if we trade up in the 4th round to take him. Jerry would really dance then.

I respect your opinion. But I just dont think Jerry wants Dak to feel the added pressure- either real or perceived.

Why not in the 5th round?
Agreed. No question it's monster draft value and should be considered with a kid with such immense talent.
and Deion himself has familiarity with the Jones.

But this is also about Deion's son and Deion himself is not the silent type.

And do the Jones want the media & social media attention Deion may bring when his son isn't playing,
or wants his son to have the spotlight, instead of being content as a backup ?

I would take him in the 5th but trading for Milton has pretty much eliminated us from drafting a QB. There’s not enough balls to go around trying to develop two young QBs. They need opportunities. One would end up on the practice squad and could get poached.

Am I wrong or are the media not saying what is really the reason for the slide?
The teams don't want to deal with the headache.
I have yet to hear that.

If Shedeur Sanders falls and is there in the 6th round when we pick, we need to draft him.
I haven't made a post in over 3 years, I usually only add to threads so bare with me and hear me out. 6 quick points.

1st. Most 6th rounders are low risk draft picks that the Cowboys can easily move on from if it doesn't work out, including financially.

2nd. Have Shedeur/Milton/Grier battle it out in training camp...whomever wins is the backup, and move the 2nd option to the practice squad and the 3rd option cut.

3rd. Shedeur is a 1st to 2nd round talent, I've watched all of his games for the last 2 years. He's accurate, has a strong arm, not the strongest, but much stronger than Rush, and very accurate. He's smart, just takes a lot of sacks, and at times, he tried to force it to Travis Hunter because Hunter was always barking at him to throw him the ball

4th. He can sit and learn behind Dak for a couple of years, if not sooner.

5th. This sends a clear message to Dak, put up or you're out as soon as we can get you out. Having Shedeur behind Dak will either LIGHT A FIRE, or he is gone.

6th. If Dak happens to pan out, you can simply trade or cut Shedeur. But if Dak doesn't work out, maybe Shedeur takes you places, or move on from him. Either way, we move on from Dak if he doesn't improve, have a pretty good QB moving forward, or cut our losses and draft the next stud.

Conclusion: Milton is a 6th round draft pick, so no loss if you have to move on from either one, and that includes Grier. Seriously, I don't need another 6th round DT stinking up the joint, Shedeur is definitely worth a 6th round pick no matter what we think of his dad.

His son will be playing. Dak will not finish the season

Hard to argue. They would have to. I think he will be gone by then. Clearly the league doesn’t want to deal with Deion. Still he would be an easy grab as a 6. Based on done here they could trade Milton for a pair of 1s.

Jerry does not like QB controversy, and with shiduer that is what they would have.
Dak has 1 bad game, and some fans and media would say let shiduer take over.

With shiduer on team , he would get more attention than Jerry, and Jerry doesnt want
that either lol.

Based on what? There is a reason he is dropping. Keep underestimating Milton. I would draft Shedeur though. He is more talented then Dak was as a thrower but I don’t know if he can even be Geno Smith. I want him to succeed because I believe this is a personal attack on his father.
The notion that he hasn’t been picked is because of his father is ridiculous. These billion dollar football organizations aren’t going to pass on someone who they think can help their team and is in need of a QB. Not saying Shedeur has a bad attitude as I don’t know him, but obviously many teams feel that way. I spent over 20 years in the military and I can tell you 1 bad apple does spoil the whole bunch. If you let it. We never let it.
